Do yo change the depth chart any? Do you play with the Giants Defense playbook? If you answered NO to the first and YES to the second I would guess you are reffering to some of their nickle packages that have different ways for their lineman setup and they also have the NASCAR package.
Try flicking the Left stick on your defensive menu screen each time you there will be a substitution. If you use that it will not be the same if you ask madden, you have to be on the formation play call screen. Or you can manually sub a player in and out with R1 substitution and that player will be subed the rest of the game baring injury/ fatigue.
sorry I forgot to mention that this is in the MUT mode. And after playing I noticed that he doesnt leave the field, he is switched to DT. He is not listed as a sub for DT, nor are any of my lb's listed as subs for D-line. this is very confusing, the playbook doesnt list as 3-4 or 4-3 etc. If I remember right I am using the AZ Cards Defense playbook.
Ive never played MUT, but it helps to know the difference between 4-3 /3-4
The Cardinals playbook is a 3-4. JPP is a 4-3 defensive end. If you dont switch his depth chart position, he will still be a defensive end, but in a 3-4 it is a different animal.When you use the Cardinals playbook, try switching him on the depth chart to right or left outside linebacker. JPP as a 3-4 outside lb , that position is best suited to his 4-3 position.
When you play your nickle and dime packages he should be in a traditional DE position to rush the passer,
hmmm, thats kinda what I thought. I dont traditionally use the 3-4 defense, usually I stick to the 4-3. So I will be swtiching to the right option there. I'm still confused as to why the game doesnt use the DT depth chart to solve this. Using the MLB postion to clear up the need for 4 LBs. Or even better if theres a way to reorganize the depth chart so it is working with the system you've chosen, without putting players in the wrong position which downgrades their stats.
