For a mode like Head to Head those options cannot be changed. They're set up to be the same for everyone who plays those modes online.

Thanks. This is what I figured. This friend believed otherwise.
That's not true. The data will show that most people playing H2H have different global settings that affect the gameplay. It's the reason why the game is wildly different from game to game depending on what your opponent has selected in their global setting. A lot of users are playing on Rookie and Arcade settings. These settings are superseding the global settings. Users can test out what I'm saying for themselves. Try different settings when playing a friend head-to-head and you will see what has plagued the Madden community.
