Practice Squad to Active Roster to 7 YR contract

Connected Franchise Mode.

Drafted players get a 4 year contract.  Place a rookie on your practice squad, then turn around and place them back to your active roster and they will be on a 1 year contract.  At the end of the season you can re-sign them to a very cheap (especially if you save up your XP) 7 year deal.  

The only risk here is taking on the salary cap penalty and I was curious how this could be blocked? Maybe enforce a one week grace period before the player can be put back onto your active roster?
