PS3 Madden 15 Control Issues

i am having problems with moving my team around in ultimate team. I have a ps3 and for me circle is select and x is back it works that way in the whole game, but when i go to arrange my team x does what circle is supposed to do and circle does nothing. I then cants go back and am forced to quit the game. This also happens when i am opening card packs. Is there anyway i can fix this or am i the only one this happens to. Maybe it has something to do with a U.S. game and a Japanese PS3.
