[PS4, Online H2H] error code "CE-34878-0" when trying to play against friend

I have a bunch of friends and it's difficult to delete every single one.. I feel like this should be priority since we aren't able to play an actual play a friend game which is the point of buying madden 22 in my town... now I bought mvp edition and feel like you all stole from me. Ea you all should be embarrassed by this.. unacceptable!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play in Franchise mode as one person. Once you advance to week 10 in year 2024 the CE-34878-0 crash occurs. It has occurred: 1) in four separate franchise play attempts 2) both cloud and offline. 3) the crash occurs when exiting a played game while going back to the menu. During an offline freeze saved franchises become corrupt and won't load again, thus loosing ALL progress.
What happens when the bug occurs? Blue Screen with CE-34878-0. I submit the report each time.
What do you expect to see? I expect the game to exit correctly and successfully complete a franchise or my money returned. I have cleared cache, uninstalled and re-installed Madden, ensured game and console have been updated, rebuilt the console database, switched on online storage. None has resolved the issue. This issue is only occurring with Madden 22.

EA really needs to do more testing.  Madden 22 is so "buggy" in franchise mode it is a complete waste of my time and money. 

I've been getting this error lately, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've got at least 20 losses due to it. It happens in online H2H play. My neighbor said it was custom playbooks causing the error, but I've got the error while using team playbooks as well. Recently, it not only crashed, but seemed to have completely reset my game. I have a hard copy, not a digital copy. Sometimes I can use custom playbooks and not get the error. As I mentioned though, I've got it from just using a team playbook as well. Kind of hard to move up in rank when you lose a game like this without even starting the game. It typically occurs during the loading process...after what seems like I've connected to the server and waiting on the game to load. I can actually see my opponets name before it crashes. When it crashes, the game starts completely over. Also, last night I was in a game, the user paused, offered a friendly quit, canceled the offer, then conceded the game and it froze on me. I got the loss for that as well. I seriously am thinking about not getting this game next year...

I just came across your reply. I take it you've tried re-installing the game and database as previously mentioned in this post. We'll help troubleshoot this with you but need some questions answered to see what direction we'll need to go in.

• Do you use an external hard drive or have any other devices plugged into your console?
• Do you have over 100 friends on your friends list?
• Do you have the console plugged directly into the wall or are you using a surge protector? Are you using an extension cord?

@EA_Blueberry Again, just like countless other people have explained, this ce-34878-0 which causes a blue screen crash, happens constantly and usually with me it's in h2h loading screen. As ppl before me have told u, this causes LOSSES, making it impossible to enjoy this game. This is crazy
