PS5—Can’t play Online H2H against a Friend Game Crashes or Session not available

I cannot play online against a Friend. If I create a game session for online H2H, select the friend for an invite, adjust game settings and press start to create the game, Madden 22 will crash. This started happening since the last title update on Dec. 2, 2021. If a friend invites me to an online H2H game, I immediately receive "Game session no longer available" after I accept the game invite.

I have exhausted all tips & tricks to get online H2H to work when trying to play a friend. This is what I have tried so far.

I had EA support unlink my PSN from my ea account so I could link back up from Madden.

I have reset my router & opened all ports to PS5.

I deleted & reinstalled madden 22 

Turned off PS5 & unplugged for a few minutes. 
Booted PS5 in safe mode, cleared system cache & rebuilt the database 

I removed all friends from friends list

I can play online H2H against randoms with no issues, but want let me play against a friend. 

I also tried creating a cloud based franchise & it will not let me play against the CPU. When I go into the game the controller will not be selected on the team I am supposed to play with. It will not let me manually move the controller icon to my team.

I cannot connect to shared downloads in Madden as well. Every time I try to connect to view shared content a message pops up saying server is not available.

    It's difficult to know what exactly happened for the IDs on your accounts without pulling up this information and taking a look. I strongly recommend contacting our Support team immediately and have them pull up the PSN IDs you used and unlinked to verify they are all properly assigned to an EA account. Our forum team cannot make any changes or discuss specific account details. They should be able to get this fixed for you in just a short amount of time. I'm really sorry you're going through this trouble, please keep us updated on what the results are of speaking with our Support team.

    Bumping this for someone from support to read my post. Sorry but this is urgent when you cannot use a feature with your friends. I play for money on GS & currently cannot get into a game because I have to invite opponents to a H2H online match with a friend.

    Thanks for looking. Hopefully somebody has another trick up their sleeve that I have not tried yet.

    @EA_Blueberry   Bumping this again to see if you have come across the issue where you cannot play H2H online against a friend. Madden 22 will crash if I try sending an invite & I will immediately receive game session no longer available when I try joining the game session from a friend invite.

    @gakonline @Jeremymstinson 

    Do you have over 50+ players on your friends list? Specifically for PlayStation players have been able to fix this by removing all their friends and then re-adding them. I know that is not convenient and not ideal. As of right now this is the only workaround we've seen successfully work though. 

    I take it you've both tried power cycling your consoles and networks?

    @EA_Blueberry Thanks for replying back. Yes I have reset console & network. I removed all friends & tried everything else I found that worked for others. I am going to contact my internet provider to see if they have something blocked on their end.

    @EA_Blueberry. Thanks for checking. I have not found a solution & it continues to crash whenever I try to play online against a friend. I invite a friend to a match & after I create the game session to send the invite madden will crash. If I accept an invite from a friend I will immediately receive game session no longer available. I called my I internet provider today & they do not block anything on their end since I am on their fiber network. Any port blocked will be through my router & I have my PS5 set to the DMZ so all ports are open.

    When do you think the next madden patch will be released for ps5? I am hoping the new patch will fix it since this started happening after the last update.
