QB Dive Not Working

Question

Am I missing something or is there no way to sive with qb’s in madden 21? I’ve tried about 20 different things and my qb just slides every time. I liked madden 20 where you could dive or slide I dislike being restricted to sliding in the middle of the field because diving for extra yards is sometimes better. If anyone knows how to dive with a qb in madden 21 without being near the endzone please let me know!

@canadiens321  You can dive by holding down the X/Square button. Tapping it will slide.

@EA_Blueberry Huh that’s weird I tried everything in practice tons of times and holding it always makes my qb slide too. I’ve tried everything possible but my qb won’t dive.

@EA_Blueberry Yes. I’ve tried everything possible there is nothing that lets you dive with a quarterback besides when diving for the end zone.
