QB Slow Scramble

We are in year 3 of our online franchise.  I have Deshaun Watson as my qb, who is now a 99 overall.  All of a sudden this year at one point, he just started to be extremely slow in the game.  No ratings or settings changed.  He went from outrunning the whole defense on scrambles to getting caught by Defensive Tackles when trying to scramble out of the pocket.

I ran a quick practice with him in exhibition mode to compare him in and out of our franchise.  In exhibition mode, he's his normal self and is incredibly quick, despite having slightly slower speed, acceleration, etc. than in my franchise.

I've checked to see if there is fatigue over the course of the year from him running a bunch, but it only looks like players can get fatigued in the games themselves.  He's also not injured at all.

Any thoughts on this?
