I have an LG as well, and the issue I'm running into is the game automatically turning on my "HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color" in my tv settings. I go into my tv settings to turn it off, but the game immediately turns it back on. When that's turned on, my tv is inconsistent. It flashes and goes black a lot. Finally the only thing I could find that would work was downloading a program called "borderless gaming" I found after googling. I switched Madden into windowed mode and added the .exe file for the game to borderless gaming on my pc. It took away the window and made my game full screen, and it no long automatically activates that function on my tv. Pretty dumb that I have to take these steps to make the game work, but that's EA for ya. I was kinda expecting issues like this when I bought it to be honest. I know this company all too well...

It is not only on LG TVs. This also happens on my Samsung JU71000 and every other similar model. The game enables some sort of faux HDR mode at 4K.
All we need is a toggle to turn this off. There are ZERO sets that will support proper HDR10 with HDMI 2,0x. There's not the bandwidth and the fake '10 bit dithered' does not work correctly either.
I just wanted to chime in really quick. With the latest patch I am actually able to play Madden 19 in HDR. It is a dirty fix but it works
My tested setups: LG 65" OLED C-Series with Titan Xp (416.16) passthrough a Yamaha RX-A3070
Run the game make sure it's in Full Screen, go to the setting and graphics and change the screen resolution to 2560x1600, if you screen goes to HDR then the next step should work. Next, just bring the resolution back to 3840x2160 and it should stay in HDR and now in full screen
The only problem is that the game exits with HDR enabled and the next time you run the game again it will be the faded washed out screen.
I hope EA fix this seems to be a bug in the game
