Re: Accelerated Clock Cannot be Disabled

@chameleon34X

Streamlined Pre-Play, Post-Play, and No Huddle Experiences

We’ve significantly shortened the amount of time spent showing gameplay before and after the play. What’s important to note here is both the game clock and play clock will naturally be accelerated regardless of your accelerated clock settings to account for the time that would normally tick off while players are getting aligned. When using Hurry-Up or No-Huddle, the accelerated clock will tick off the amount of time it would take for the player the furthest away to run and get aligned in his pre-play formation position. These changes have created a faster experience and more time spent on the sticks in each game session.

    They still take time off lining up as well as the clock runoff. Makes no sense! Our franchise wants to be in control! If the clock runoff takes up the time it should take for them to line up why are we still seeing them line up while the clock is running? We try to have a real gameplay feel, and in real life there is no such thing as the clock speeding up!

    Thanks for listening!

  • What if we actually want to play the game? Then we have to deal with it. Why have the option to turn it off if we cant?

  • No it’s bc no it’s bc your company is greedy and lazy to actually make a game that worth playing the mall details are what make the game not the gotta play fast and * out a cheap game to make micro transactions first priority fix your * I used to buy EA games bc they were fun not there buggy and all the programmers are lazy .... try being a better game company

  • Please get rid of the stupid run off I can't stand it. I want to play a whole game without the time going down fast. All it does is shorten the games and I don't like it at all. I could do an extra play or 2 from the run off.

  • People use that time to read the defense and make adjustments according to the defense, isn't that part of realistic gameplay?  Doing a hurry-up offense, as you seem to be promoting instead, is not realistic when players are now using it on every play.

  • This is not how football works.

    If i have 19 seconds left on the game clock with 3 timeouts, that means I should be able to run at least ONE play. But your stupid accelerated clock runs it down to 0 after I pick my play and I lose the game without a chance to play.

    Whoever approved this decision should get transferred down 4 steps on your corporate ladder. You literally have the choice of playing "Arcade" or "Simulation" but the simulation mode is not even remotely realistic at this point.

    The arcade mode is for the 12 year olds and people who don't understand football.

    If the player picks Simulation mode, leave everything as realistic as possible:

    1 No clock run off, 2 no X-factor, 3 in no-huddle, show the animation of the teams running to the LOS, so the defense has a chance to call an audible, 4 have CPU teams understand that being down 2 scores in the 4th quarter means they have to try to conserve clock, not run it for 2 yards and then take 30 seconds to snap the ball on 3rd down and give the game away.

    Some of us gamers don't want to speed things up.
