My name was HolaBums for years. Battlefield 3 and 4 days. Now all of a sudden I get a name ban? I don't think this is fair. Banning a name that has been for years without notice for me to change it on my own is not right. Nor is the name (removed) offensive in any way. Please let me have my name back.
Literally the link you provided starts the the guy saying what his "inappropriate" name was. Spare me your self-righteousness.

If you received a ban for your name, I'm afraid that's not something we're able to assist with on the forums.
For that you'll need to follow the steps provided in the post you replied to, or on this page to create an appeal with our Terms of Service team.
This thread is a bit older as well and is being locked here, please feel free to submit an appeal if you'd like that looked into further.
