It seems like you might be trying to reset the password on the wrong EA account. In order to get back in to the game, you will have to reset the password of the EA account that is linked to your Xbox account. Please keep in mind that an EA account and your Platform account can have different login credentials. You can also try and reach out to customer support, they might be able to assist with locating the correct account.

    thanks for getting back to me, I tried calling the support team and they told me that my new gamer tag and old gamer tag don’t exist and that they can’t help. Do I need to create a whole new Xbox account and link it that way?
