I have this issue on FOTF on Xbox Series S. You can change it, but the QB's motion won't change at all.

Did you also notice most quarterbacks, with an exception of Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, & Joe Burrow, ALL drop their wrist below their elbow when throwing a flag route to the right, but not on other throws?

Would it possible to get the platform everyone is playing on when they notice this issue popping up?

This issue affects Play Now, Practice, FOTF, and Franchise. QBs are locked into their default throwing style, despite being assigned a different one.
Example - I updated Trey Lance from Generic 2---->Slinger 3, but it doesn't update in-game. The style is still Generic 2 when the game/practice begins.
My FOTF player is the same. Franchise is the same.
Note - Russell Wilson is the only QB in the game that will update if you change his throwing style. He's Generic 3 by default, but his in-game animation does update when you change his throwing style to a different one. - @da_ill3zt All the Generic 1-3 are all the same motion. However, Traditional 7 is different. Slingers 3-9 are all also very different. Don't pay attention to the "preview" on the Edit Player screen. That's not accurate.
Russell Wilson is the only QB in the game right now that you can edit his QB throwing style, and would update in-game. That's the only way I knew how Traditional 7 & Slinger 9 looks like. - @war_admiral77 Well, we can add the “previews” as another issue in this whole thing.
It does not work correctly on any platform. I have a ps5 and it doesn’t not work for any player in any mode. There have been many Reddit posts and YouTube videos with people on all platforms like pc, Xbox series x and Xbox 1, ps4 and ps5. And they all cannot change the throwing motion of any qb
It's happening on Xbox x/s for me.... but i'm sure it's also happening on ps5
PlayStation 5 for me . Please fix
- @EA_Illium Any updates on this? We're not asking for a lot here man. This is child's play compared to the other serious issues on here. We're just asking to be able to change throwing styles. That's it.
- @EA_Illium is this a planned fix in the next update? It's been an issue since the beta but it wasn't an issue last year
I stopped playing the game because I STILL can’t switch the throwing styles in the game (Franchise or FOTF, or just period). It’s not FAIR that you put all these different throwing styles in the game, and when I go to change it in the edit player’s menu, he continues to throw in the Generic 2 style. And by the way, this goes for ALL platforms. Until this issue is fixed, my colleagues and I will not play any modes in the game. Very sad that it has come down to this.
Everytime I Change My Quarterbacks Throwing Motion It Goes Back To Default It’s Really Irritating Having 32 starting quarterbacks with so little throwing mechanics
- @EA_Illium First I'd like to say thanks for that great update you guys pushed out. Super useful. Second, I've done some testing and as soon as you change the face or skin tone or the last name of a stock QB (Joe burrow, Kyler Murray etc) they change to generic 2 QB throw style. Changing their last name also makes them a generic face too, so that's a whole other bug. Would love this to be fixed in the October update, please and thanks.

Maybe the whole Madden community should start tweeting and harassing the NFLPA for allowing this stuff to continue to happen since they're the ones giving the license to a company who doesn't care about its loyal customers... We can't get a update or patch for QB styles and the games been out for months ..... THIS IS A JOKE !
On PS5. The QB Styles don't work in Franchise mode.

Went and checked to see what this new update had in it .... Happy to finally say THEY FIXED IT!!!!
Now this game is finally playable for me.
It’s been fixed in the rosters which is good but it still is an issue with face of the franchise so please madden fix that too.
