Community ManagerIf you throw to the receiver with the "B" button do you also press "B" to gain control of them? Which difficulty are you playing the game on?
Yes I am selecting the receiver after throwing the ball. I’m on All-Pro difficulty.
@EA_Blueberry FYI This occurred again with the B receiver on a deep crossing route on third down. He was wide open and after throwing the ball to B and selecting the receiver, he just kept running off the field and into the stands. He was wide open too. This time the I was in the Face of the Franchise Mode.

Is your mouse/mousepad level? I'm wondering if somehow the mouse or keyboard are being activated when throwing it causing the game to switch to the mouse.
Try unplugging the mouse to see if it still happens after throwing to the B receiver on a deep route. Can you reproduce this in practice mode so you can keep throwing it deep over and over again?
This is absolutely a problem. I've been playing Madden for years and have never had this problem but it happens on almost every deep ball. The receivers literally take themselves out of the play.

@EA_Blueberry Here is a vid of this happening in practice mode in Franchise. The play is at the 2:38 mark. the receiver just keeps running but this time he actually did the catch animation. You can see I took control. I was trying to move him to make the catch but he did not respond.

Summarize your bug Occasionally after selecting different audibles and making route adjustments, one of the receivers will turn sideways facing the sideline and not run their route on snapping the ball. They just freeze in place.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure. Call 3 wide plays and call a couple of audibles like to a run and back to a pass and then adjust some routes and it will eventually happen.
What happens when the bug occurs? The receiver turns perpendicular to the line of scrimmage and freezes there for the entire play.
What do you expect to see? I don't expect to see this behavior at all. The player should run the appropriate route.

This was happening so much in MUT challenges today I gave up playing the game. Sad.
It still hasn't gotten fixed, especially playing squads online if you try to use control the wide receiver going deep you have no control of the receiver it gets stuck running straight no chance to even catch the ball easy interceptions for the opponents.
Yea it's doing it for me. I'm an old school madden player. Not being able to control my wr is a deal breaker for me. It doesn't make any sense. They got rid of that feature because good players figured out how to run under the ball? That's what wr are SUPPOSED to do.
Everyone told you it happened to them multiple times and im sure everyone is speaking about it on other platforms.. its happening on every game mode, from online to exhibition to practice. On every system especially Playstation 4. And we also lose a lot of connections in Mut Head to head & draft and get hit with a loss eveeeeryyyy time when we should get a win an its been like that since online play started we spend too much money and grind time to get treated this way. When it comes to you guys fixing gameplay issues.
