Re: Cannot play H2H - Franchise Mode

For that specific mode it's going to be peer-2-peer connections. If you log into your router's admin settings (the login info is usually on the router itself) do you have uPnP enabled? We have specific port numbers for Madden 19 that could be closed off from either your router or theirs. I'm sorry this is extra work to get you both connected in game, but it sounds like one of your connections is identifying the other connection as a possible threat and desyncing it.

Sometimes the most simple steps can fix things like this too. Did you both try a power cycle with the console and router?

  1. Unplug the modem/router power for at least 3 minutes.
  2. Touch the power button on the front of the PS4 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice). Turn it back on after 1 minute. Launch the game.

    Hey,

    Thanks for replying.

The “simple tricks” were abandoned 2-weeks ago when we both hardlined into our respective modems. We try those steps EVERY atone we have tried to play this single game.

Please understand this is the only game we have this issue with, as we played NBA 2k together online prior to attempting Madden.

This “solution” reads specifically with a router. Are the steps the same with a Ethernet connected directly to the PS4’s?
