So me and my boi found a fix, just use the competitive PAF option and that lets you reset or retire the event every game 😀

This is not a fix, but a bad work around. If I wanted to play All Madden mode, that is an option. But the main Play a Friend option is broken and has been broken all year, and would be a 2 minute fix if EA listened or cared.
That’s not working either and I really wanna play with my friend, we were playing just fine last week and it doesn’t let me lock in a team for anything I can only play randoms online
Funny seeing that tris still isn’t fixed. I díd not buy the last two Madden games because glitches like these that only affect gameplay, with no impact on pack sales go unfixed for years.
