This is the single highest priority feature I've wanted in Madden since I started playing again 3 years ago. I would love for an EA dev to comment on this and give an idea of how likely we are to see this implemented. It's still day 2 of early access, I'd love to see it this year as a patch.

The biggest issue I have is the kicking game.  At what point did making the kicking game require arcade control seem like a fit for something called "coach mode".  I haven't met too many Coach/Kickers in my day.

    Could one of the 10hr players answer this?

    Have you found a way to configure coach mode to just call plays?  Or was this fixed in 2023?

    I want strategic play like Madden 09 and older have, and I've been trying to find out if this is a possibility in 23.  I'd prefer to play on PC, but don't care much which platform it is so long as I can play without arcade "user control" of any players including the kicker.

    I pretty much only play coach mode.  YES!  Coach mode is in the game.  It's in the settings.  Go to settings, gameplay options and towards the bottom is Coach Mode.  move to ON. Enjoy.

    Is there a way to not have arcade kicking?  Makes no sense in a coach-mode game.

    I agree. No. You are basically the kicker or you can sim the kicks.

    How do you sim just the kick(s)?

    As far as I can tell, you can't actually sim the kicks you call. But what you can do is sim 1 play when it's an obvious kicking situation. On the playcalling screen, hit LS to bring up the sim options and pick "go to next play". Of course since you're not calling the play, the CPU might surprise you and go for it instead...
