I’ve been playing for a couple of days without issue, but the game crashed on my Series X when I made it to the Super Bowl in year one of Face of the Franchise. As soon as I tried to start the actual Super Bowl, the game closed.
When I relaunched it, there was no option for me to continue for that Face of the Franchise file, only to begin a new career.
Is my save permanently gone? Seems like a lot of wasted effort when you can’t sim any games.
same here. I started mine tuesday on PC. Pulled some big wins at the last minutes as well. Now get on this morning, and the only option is to start a new career, but all the progress on stats saved.
Face of the franchise was going along very well. Got to the 3rd game of the regular season and when I fired up the game again... no save file. Save is completely gone and I have to start a new career.
Same, I was at the 5th game of the season, exited the game 2-3 hours ago, reloaded now and no Face of the Franchise save, but my character and his stats is still saved

I finished my first season and had the opportunity to pick a new team after my 1 year deal expired.
I picked a new team then it would kick me out. I logged back in and went through the same cut scene and picked another team. I did this 4 times and finally picking the colts worked; but now there 5 of me on 5 different teams.
what am I supposed to do? Start a new one?! Also, I’m on the colts but I’m rocking Vikings gear.
I started a Face of the Franchise game yesterday, played through the pre-season games, and 2 of the actual season games. I opened the game today, and similar to other people in this thread, only had the option to start a new career and no indication that there was a previous career/saved game.
This post from mmurray7652 was the solution for me, "Ok, so I went to make a new career in face of the franchise.... and then after I chose a position to play, my save came up to continue. Save hiding behind a bad UI."
I would recommend that the dev's bring the "Load game" option up a menu level so you can see it before going to start a new game, in order to prevent people from flagging a false-positive issue in the future.
Bro I’m going thru the same thing! Tried joining Vikings like 5x. Tried to go back to Colts to see if that was the problem, still in a continuous loop! Don’t know what to do…I won SB first year too smh
I’m sick of this EA. Every year there’s a new glitch. The only reason this game is still alive is that EA has the exclusive license to the NFL. If there were competition, these “bugs” would not exist. EA, I promise the day will come when you have to release a working product and not scam football fans.
My face of the franchise file disappeared and glitched for the past couple of hours until I gave up and deleted the file. EA, you are a trash company, and every year you fumble (no pun intended) the NFL license.
DUDE i had a 87 HB and it deleted my save and saved it as a 73 QB

Hey I’m having the same issue. I’m trying to select a new contract and it only lets me pick the Colts, any other contract I select just takes me back to the Home Screen.
Same exact issue. Crashed when I started super bowl in year 1. Loaded game back up and my save was gone.
Same. When to new file saw my wr on cloud save.
It’s hiding behind a bad UI at the moment. So all you have to do is go to face of the franchise and go ahead and press start new career and your save will be right there under the position your player is.
I was 6-0 with a cornerback rating of 81 for the last game I finished. I come back to face of the franchise this morning, and got an error message about logging in. Restarted the game, went back to face of the franchise, and all my ratings were gone. Also, when I go to upgrade player it shows quarterback attributes, but Im still a cornerback. WTF EA?! I have an Xbox S on the fastest Wi-Fi connection Verizon offers at my home. Y’all gotta fix this! I didn’t spend $100 on this game just to play quick games only. Please check the images.
