Re: [Franchise] Starting RB/WR Leaves Game

Why do my players go out for a play to rest and don’t come back and I can’t put them back in the game

    As the title of your post suggests, it is an issue with player fatigue.  When weekly training comes up look at player health.  Change the training to “half pads” and for the missing player’s position change reps to “backups”.  The player will recover and will appear again in games. The fatigue mechanic in Madden 22 needs more micromanagement than previous versions, but there is an option to have it managed automatically in slider settings.  I suppose you could also change the fatigue slider to “0” but you still have to let the player recover in the manner above.

  • What is going on with fatigue in this madden, when I have progressive fatigue on almost all of my starters go out after a few days. Then after I turned it off I was still having the same issue. My starters would just go out of the game and then never come back in.

  • Wonder why I get in my exhibition games when I go to play now?  I've held off on franchises(at least seriously) until the 53 man rosters are relased.  But I get the star players fatiguing to a point of rest then not coming back in even though they are listed as top of the depth chart and their stamina bars appear to be regained to where they shoul re-enter and play.  I mean 11 touches and you main back is done for the day?

    @Intrepid-Being

    Is this still happening since the latest title update? This should have been fixed:

    • Fixed an issue causing running backs to be kept out of the game too long after getting fatigued

    In the bottom right of your main screen you'll see Settings. Please make sure you have the latest title/content update. Let me know if you're seeing this in newly created Franchises if that is where you're seeing it.

  • @EA_Blueberry Yeah this was on PC and fairly sure looking when I posted it was after the update but could be mistaken on my timeline. I have not noticed it since the roster updates...but I have not had as many chances to play since then.

    Hey, all.

    What is your player's fatigue level at? It sounds like Progressive Fatigue which is managed by the reps you have in practice. You can reduce the amount fatigue they accumulate by changing the practice type. If they get to a certain threshold it will cause them to come out of the game. This is something you have to manage throughout the entire season.

    So Ea Bluberry, the game is working as EA designed it but is unrealistic is what you are saying. No offence but it’s another deflection to hide the absolute disaster which is Madden 22 . IMO.

    @tootster72 Are you simming your weekly training or manually doing it?

    I find it unrealistic a starter would come out early in the game if they were ready enough to suit up. That's fair. At the same time though, it's up to the coach to decide how much they want to work their players in practice. This gives the user more full control. So I get the aspect behind managing your player's reps the whole season to avoid a breakdown for them, otherwise you could max certain players out much faster.

    How do you realistically want it to function? Do you want the star players to have their fatigue meter increase slower because they are the better players in the league, prefer to have them get subbed out starting in the 3rd quarter, or have the progressive fatigue not as harsh?
  • Good day to you ma'am or sir. Thank you for being here when you can, and for answering questions, I have a couple, if and when you have time, thank you.

    I've been playing a lot of head to head due to having a known and now fixed issue with the score not being recorded after a game in franchise mode, but since it was fixed I was chomping at the bit to start a new franchise until I started hearing about a "fatigue bug", but after looking and reading around it seems this issue is either a misunderstanding on how to use the new feature that is progressive fatigue on our part, or is it in fact a "bug" that is slated to be fixed in a future update?

    If we are simply misunderstanding how to use the feature, would you recommend any tips to have this feature operate as intended, for example what would be a generic full season strategy you might recommend in order to avoid having this issue at all?

    If it is a "bug", I'm sure y'all are on top of it and it's only a matter of time, but would you possibly give a rough guestimate as far as a timeline for a patch that addresses it, if at all possible?

    Again, thank you for your time and I hope you are doing well, I love the game, have since 2005, and I'm very happy with how good Madden looks, plays and feels these days, I'm very excited for future features (scouting) and I appreciate all the work y'all have put in.

    @mrfacebreaker727

    My best advice is to manually do half practice for the players you're looking to build up in practice. If you have an opportunity to get your backups in the game for some reps that can help with your progressive fatigue over time. Hope this helps clarify the designer's thought process behind the system.

    This is from our Franchise post on new features for this year's title:

    Continuing with your Weekly Strategy is one of our biggest new features, the Manage Player Health and Progressive Fatigue systems.  We are introducing a new fatigue system, where fatigue levels will carry over from game to game.  This new feature ties in directly with the new Dynamic Gameday feature so when and where you play matters more now than ever before. During the duration of every game, players will fatigue as they have in the past, but will only be able to recover up to a certain point. This will help simulate how players wear down throughout a game, to the point that they are never fully at the same energy levels at the end of the game as they were at the start of the game. As players fatigue during the game, specific position-based ratings will start to decrease.  For example, a running back with 92 Speed at the start of the game, may not be able to fully reach that speed in the 4th quarter if he has had a bunch of carries earlier in the game.

    During a Franchise season, all players will end the game at a degraded fatigue level that will be brought over into the Manage Player Health screens in Weekly Strategy.

    There is a Player Health screen with multiple options and choices that you can make to help manage your player’s fatigue levels.  When first entering the screen, you will see an overall offensive or defensive team fatigue level.  This will quickly give you an idea of where your team currently is fatigue-wise.  You will also see a depth chart type view that shows every player and their current fatigue level.  At this point, you can decide the best course of action for your team.

    As a coach, there are two choices you can make every week: Practice Intensity and Player Reps.  For Practice Intensity, you are choosing how hard you want your team to practice that week, which means either choosing Full Pads or Half Pads.  Full Pads will give your players higher practice XP and Gameplan Focus boosts but will lessen fatigue recovery and have a chance for Practice Injuries.

    progressive Fatigue is "OFF" and this happens in Face of Franchise too there's no reason a HB like MCM shouldn't be able to play after 4 snaps and then vanish from the formation sub list.i have a stream id to show the issue Video of issue start to finish  the stream was live please watch this before this bug is dis regarded.

    Hey, all.

    We raised it up to the team to get more details on how this is supposed to function. We have two scenarios here. One is this is a bug where they can't be selected to come back into the game. I have a guess the reason why they might not be selectable to come back into the game is because they are not eligible due to their fatigue level, however even if that was by design I can see the confusion from the community on how they disappeared from the game.

    We'll give you all updates on this as soon as we can.

    @EA_Blueberry  i posted a video of the entire game there is no way possible MCM is Fatigued after 4 snaps and then not able to play the entire game. Progressive Fatigue is turned off so you cant even use the Health menu when in weekly planning. I even tried to turn off auto subs hoping it could be the temporary fix but ive had 0 progress towards countering this game breaking bug. Thank you for your understanding and please refer to this video of my live stream showing MCM vanishing from a sub list not on a injury report and having 0 option to sub him even changing the depth chart. https://www.facebook.com/KingdomGamingCommunity/videos/1456461674710999/?notif_id=1631710511004049&notif_t=live_video_explicit&ref=notif

    It don’t even give me the option to practice manual only on Auto.my starting running back was yellow at the beginning of the game with my whole offense yellow and he the only one just disappeared. There no player in the nfl just start a game and just sit the rest of the game because they are tired.  I recorded my game so you can go look at it and see yourself. I want to be able to practice manual not just give me the option to sim and don’t give the fatigue so harsh because it’s not realist.
