That's not helping me. It's just giving me the active roster that's on the game not the downloaded roster I downloaded

We have a megathread on this here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/madden-20-will-not-let-me-download-community-rosters-for-xbox/m-p/8177541/highlight/true#M3020
Have you tried clearing your local and cloud game saved data on your console? Try doing that and then try to download it a handful of times, then restart your console. We've seen that fix it for players. I’m having the same problem and I’ve tried everything that’s been said and it still doesn’t work
I’m just trying to use the custom roster that I created on my own personal console. I haven’t updated the game, and I don’t even play online. I loaded the file, and then I went to franchise mode to try to play with the roster I created and it still loaded the original default roster.
how do I use the roster I created in franchise mode?

- Create your roster and save the file
- Upload the roster
- Go to Franchise and when it asks you to use preseason roster or custom select custom
I'm guessing you're selecting the other option when you're creating your franchise. You can't use a different roster if a franchise is already in progress.
Once you’ve created a custom roster, overwrite the original roster file madden created (I forgot the name madden uses). Then when you go start a new franchise don’t pick the pre-season roster one, pick the other (again I forgot the name)
I tried this and it still doesn’t work is there no other way to do this? This it the only way I play the game
