What type of code are you trying to redeem? What does it give you? It's possible there is a promotional expiration date for it.

I just won a core elite 87 ovr JJ Watt from a promotion. It gave me a 16 digit code and I don’t know where to use it???

At the Madden 20 main menu visit Settings>Extras>Redeem Code.
