It's been 3 hours fix it EA!

I just logged out and back in again and now it's letting me update Sims 4. Fingers crossed it works and I'll be able to play in a minute!!!

Uh, i knew EA long enough to not be surprised .
Guess their servers are overloaded cause making 2042 free for a limited time and releasing The Sims 4 update at the same time was megamind idea. 
We'll just have to wait.

A note I believe is worth to share:

Running my EA app from Start menu or Desktop shortcut "didn't go as planned"

Tried go to the folder C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop and run specifically EA desktop file with Admin mode - worked for me.

Tried it multiple times - no error so far. Ran App recovery and games appeared.

May no work for all, but for some.

I was able to log in by running the app as an administrator but once i was in kept getting the ever present error 500 on all my games again 🙄. Was able to fix this by using the task manager to force quit the ea desktop and EA background service (you'll have to scroll down for that one). After force quitting those two apps and running the ea app with admin access again i was able to log in and access all my games. now I can go back to playing dragon age and not touching sims 4 with a ten foot pole until I see what kind of havoc the update causes to the game.

It works fine and flawless.

I’m still having issues. I can’t see all the games, I’m still missing 3. I talked to EA help and he confirmed that those games are listed to me, and that they should be there. Everybody else seems to be totally back to normal already, and got all their games back?

New TS4 pack is out and I cant log in again to this broken EA app. Ridiculous guys. 

I just want to play ☹️
