Re: Madden 16 cfm player progression

I understand that in Madden 15 players earned too much xp. That being said we now earn wayyyy too little I had a rookie rb get 950 yds rushing over 300 receiving and 9 tds.A pretty good season I thought for 67 rated guy. I progressed to 69 after that whoopee.. It seems impossible to progress more than 3-4 pts per year that's too low. You can't develop a team, that sucks

It is now impossible to progress anyone in franchise mode. Talk about one end of the spectrum to the other. Why is this so hard to figure out for EA?

Sometimes I enjoy playing the GM in cfm, I simulate the games and go through free agency and the draft and try to develop players to build a solid team. With the xp so low now I can't get more than 2k xp after a season which makes it impossible to develop a team.

I have the CFM and took the Raiders, I had Latavius Murray rush for over 3000 yds and 35 TDs for 3 straight seasons and he only gained 3 pts overall. DJ Hayden had 32 INTS in a season and gained nothing overall.  Something needs to be fixed the XP lack of gains

better get some more people to get in here and chime in... madden and ea has flipped the bird at us by not fixing this with the title update released yesterday...

I wont play or buy another ea game again until this is rectified. I didnt pay $60 for a game that up until this year has worked.. franchise is broken this year.

Agreed - we cannot let this thread die.

EA, when can we reasonably expect a fix? Numerous users are reporting this issue. Many are loyal repeat customers.
  • Are you guys all on 360 like I am?

So EA took out most of the Game Prep options, particularly those do develop XP... which on the Next Gen consoles is no big deal.  But on the 360, it's a game killer.

AT LEAST put those options back in via patch.  It can be done.

I am on PS3 and the XP model is still broken. Draftees are still nearly impossible to develop.

EA, when can we expect a fix? Right now, I feel as though I wasted $60 on an unplayable game.

We should all contact Rex on facebook, twitter or any other way to get a hold of him and bombard him with messages about CFM

Yes, this progression system is terrible. The game for me is now unplayable. There is need for a patch to fix the XP awarded to players in cfm. I cannot believe that after three years of this ea still cannot make this progression system work. I say it is time to go back to more traditional player progression without the stupid goals for progression. It doesn't work for development for the young players or anyone for that matter. In addition, EA seems to make efforts to become less reachable for consumers. It is very hard to feel like your voice is being heard and addressed. We have waited far too long for this to be patched. My suggestion: invest in NBA 2k16 and enjoy a game that measures up to what our next-generation consoles have to offer and developers that address real issues with the game. I have had enough with EA. The best mode, franchise, has only gotten worse by the year. Enough is enough.

I always start with a low rated team to build them up. It is very boring playing with an 85 plus overall team but I can't develop players anymore. Madden isn't worth buying anymore imo.

Playing on Xbox one.  It's the same.  The ONLY positions that have drill available are QB (3 or 4) DL (tackling) LB (tackling) and DB (Tackling)  They removed the rest of the drills during a patch.

Also, as a side note, getting a game goal and receiving 35xp is BS.....  that is 10% of 1 point into the players cheapest stat....  and 35 of the 2k+ required for the skills.....  not to mention to get their development from normal to quick is like 20k......  wtf EA?

thats the biggest of the xp problems if you ask me. 20k+ to increase the development speed is just stupid, and there should NOT be 3 levels, two at most.

The only correlation I can find is 1st round picks sometimes get superstar, but not always. There is no real life correlation there in my opinion. If the progression system was the same and everyone was moving at superstar speed I think it might just work. (while also fixing the 35 points for accomplishments bs that is noted above).

May 14, 2016 and still no fix for offline CFM. I agree with several others who stated they feel that offline users are being stiffed if they aren't paying more than the original $60 purchase price.

I have bought this game EVERY YEAR since the original release and WILL NOT purchase Madden 17 unless the offline CFM progression is readjusted to allow players to develop more quickly.

In the meantime, I have resorted to playing '15 and have been dealing with the miserable freezing issue it has on PS3.

Way to reward a loyal customer, EA... two years in a row, you have released a game with serious issues for end users.
