Re: Madden 16 offline Franchise stuck on loading screeen

Out of curiosity, has anyone actually spoken to someone from EA and had them acknowledge the issue?  I spent about an hour troubleshooting with Microsoft today...and everything works just fine, EXCEPT Madden.  So add me to the list of people who got to play a couple hours of gametime and, other than that, is stuck at the "Press any button to begin" screen.  Much as I love watching OBJ do the whip and the nae nae, I'd really like to play the game I paid 60 bucks for!

Anybody have experience with class-action?

    @mbren28568:

By agreeing to the terms of service we WAIVE our rights to participate in any class action lawsuit.

Also, we "agree" to not hold EA accountable.

Sneaky, underhanded tactic by EA lawyers.

Also, I have chatted with the EA advisers on three seperate occasions. None of the trouble-shooting tips worked.

When I asked for a refund, they said I could not get one.

When I demanded a disc-based version of the game (mine is a downloaded version), they ignored me & transfered me to a different adviser.

The THIRD adviser terminated the chat after I demanded a disc-based version.

I complained about these issues on the Madden 16 forums & the modetators banned me for it, PERMANENTLY!

    @shinra444:

That is all we can do, stop supporting EA; stop buying their products.

After the treatment I have received from the EA advisers & the EA moderators PERMANENTLY banning me from the forums, I am finished with EA.

Not only did they sell me (& others) a game that doesn't function as advertised, but they followed it up with disrespecting me by ignoring y VALID complaints & banished me, so they won't have to read my complaints.

My suggestion is report EA to the Better Business Bureau & boycott EA products from now on.

At this point, it is all we can do, because, like you said, the people at EA don't care about us, only our money. Once we give them the money, they ignore us.

As for me, I am done with EA. I know they don't care & they won't help. They PROVED that to me.

Spent some time with online chat support - completely worthless.  Basically came back and told me to re-do all the stuff I told them I'd already done while on the phone with microsoft.

Will be reopening my case since they are, evidently, satisfied with closing it basied on the below email.

I understand that you’ve been asked to do this before. As a matter of fact, in technical issues, certain exceptions cannot be ruled out. Hence, to fix this let us revisit the steps.

    Troubleshooting for Xbox one :

    1. Close the Xbox One Game Application and restart it.
    http://support.xbox.com/en-IE/xbox-one/apps/how-to-close-xbox-one-app-or-game
    2.Xbox One - Powercycle/Clear the Cache.
While the console is on, press and hold the console’s Xbox button for 5 seconds.
    The console will power down.
    Unplug the power cord.
    Wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back in then turn the console back on by touching the Xbox button

Note: If your console is set to the Instant-On power state, the above steps will shut the console completely off and will not enable Instant-On or the ability to turn on your console by saying ‘Xbox On’ until it reboots. .

For more information, please visit Xbox Support website at: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/system/power-cycle-console.

    3. Run the Xbox networking test. Press the Xbox button to go to Home and from there select Menu button -> Settings -> Network
Select the network option you want to use:

    Test Network Settings
    Test Multi-player Connection
    View Details Network Status
    4. Now clear cloud save. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/games/Troubleshoot
    5. Clear Xbox ONE - Alternate MAC Address.
Settings -> Network Settings -> Advanced Settings-> Alternative Mac Address -> Clear
shut down the console and restart it.
    6. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the Xbox One and wait two minutes.
    7. Once the two minutes have passed, plug the power back in and wait for the power bricks light to go from White to Orange.
8.Once the power brick has the Orange light start the console and try the game again.
    If the issue persists:

    >>Now delete and redownload their gamertag. Follow the link for help steps
    http://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/Manage%20Profile

Clear cloud save, if any: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/games/Troubleshoot

    Uninstall the game files: support.xbox.com/en-IE/xbox-one/downloadable-content/uninstall-content
Now again install the game and play the game.

I hope this will fix your issue and you can easily able to play the game.
It is my pleasure to assist you with today. Thanks for Contacting EA Support.

    :

The first time, they told me to delete all of my Madden 16 files (PS4), delete the Madden 16 application & download the game again.

    I did it & it didn't work.

I contacted them again & told them I completed all of the trouble shooting steps, & they told me to do it AGAIN, but this time TAKE MY CONSOLE TO A FRIEND'S HOUSE & DOWNLOAD FROM THERE!

I told them I had a wired connection & NO OTHER GAMES give me ANY issues.

I kept deleting & downloading until I finally got it to work. MUT worked for THREE DAYS, then, when I tried to start a franchise, Madden froze, AGAIN, & became unplayable in ALL modes, AGAIN.

So, it was after that I complained & asked for a disc-based version & they ignored me & then banned me from the EA forums.

    The EA advisers are worthless.

The moderators, here, keep posting the "accepted solution," but it is NOT a "solution" so is it "acceptable?"

To whom is the "solution" acceptable?

It is certainly not accetable by us. We paid for a game that does NOT work.

I gave up. I don't even try to start up the game anymore. EA won't put out any patch to fix it.

Their "solution" is: the game won't work for some people.

LAME & very bad for business.

Well, believe it or not the chat agent solved it for me.

I disconnected my Guitar Hero dongle and it worked.

Wow! FINALLY EA put out a patch to fix the issues.

I downloaded the update & now all game modes appear to launch, no freezing as of yet.

Thanks to the developers for fixibg the issues.

However, waiting three months for a fix to the problem is still unacceptable from a customer standpoint.

Also, the EA Worldwide experience & being banned from the official EA forums after I complained about it has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Since I am banned from the EA Forums, I will no longer buy anymore EA products.

I didn't cuss; I didn't attack anyone; I voiced my displeasure & threatened a lawsuit if it weren't fixed or I were given a refund.

For that, I was banned, apparently.

Up to that point, I was active on the forums & a fairly possitive participant.

I offered suggestions. I offered advice to other forum members; I had POSSITIVE interaction with moderators in threads as well as private messages.

I helped moderate the forum, pointing out violations & harassing behaviors toward other users.

But, all of that means nothing if you complain about EA mistreatment.

So, by banning me from the forums, moderators have caused me to avoid EA products from now on.

I won't support a company that bans me from participation with other EA gamers.

Anyhow, thanks to the developers for releasing an update to address the issues.

Now, matbe I can enjoy Madden for this, my last EA purchase.

    It's been bitter-sweet, EA.

    Sayonara.

The patch apparently did not fix the issue. The game froze while on the loading screen again this morning.

There's gotta be a loophole in one of the 50 states when it comes to video game companies as EA. There has to be something you can sue for

    @Yuginagata7790:

Mine still freezes, sometimes, but all I have to do is close Madden 16 & start it again.

Before the patch, it would freeze once, then it would freeze in every mode. Closing Madden 16 didn't help. It continued to freeze everytime.

I had to delete all of my files & download Madden 16 again NUMEROUS times & HOPE it would work.

The game is STILL broken, but at least I can play mine, between freezes. Smh

@integra27w: Is that after you downloaded the update?

When playing offline franchise, I just turn my PS4 Internet connection off.
