download the fifa 17 demo (make sure its the demo)
once you open it, you should get automatically connected to the ea servers
exit out and load madden 18
it should now auto connect you and skip the password prompt

Roger, you're missing the issue for many people. Everything is up to date with the EA account but Madden 18 inexplicably links to an old account/email without giving us the option to change it in the game. That's it. What's the fix?
