I've had the same issue the last couple of days. Day one I tried to select "later" on the first update suggestion when loading the game. Then it gave me a tuning update error, so I selected "retry" and it froze. I turned off the console and deleted everything it had stored for the game. Loaded the game again, did the updates which seemed to update fine. Got to the game options and tried the Skills Challenges (or whatever it's called) and couldn't get beyond the controller select screen. When I clicked "Ready" it loaded for 3 seconds and froze. So I quit game and reloaded. Tried Franchise mode and made it through team select, setting season goals, what to focus on in Week 1 and who to focus on training. When I tried to start a game it froze again. I just got this new Xbox One S last week and bought Madden a day or two after. I was able to play Quick Play with some friends the first couple of days. I haven't tried Quick Play since having these issues. But it seems pretty broken. I would certainly appreciate some feedback. The only other game I have right now is Assassin's Creed Black Flag and it works perfectly. I guess I should mention I downloaded the game rather than purchase the disc version.
