@SfNiners816 What about editing a draft class yourself would that be fine you think??
@megablackk1d i didn’t try....I’d probably steer clear though or at least test it on a practice one before you do it. The whole draft class/edit feature seems bugged a bit. However, if you’ve already just edited in your own Franchise just save a new file and sim to year 2022, 2023, 2024 or so and test it. What I’d did was set the quarter length to 1 minute and play a real quick game and then when thru the whole save process and tried to reload it.

Great news, the fix for franchises crashing in later years has been identified and will be made available in an upcoming patch.
I know this has been a lengthy and painful issue and we want to thank those of you who posted the specifics we requested, those posts have been of great help to us in finding the fix.
After the fix goes live, we will post here again asking you to confirm if the issue is resolved for you.

Thank you EA berry
Thanks for the update @EA_Barry and to the dev team.
Thank You @EA_Barry and the Dev team for not forgetting about this.
@EA_Barry finally thanks can we load up old saves or do we need to start over, will the patch work on live franchises that have not reached the point of corruption, and when will the patch go live?

Not sure if corrupted franchises will be usable, probably not but not 100% certain.
Patch will be live soon™
Keep checking daily or a few times a day for the update.
Ok I’ve been able to test it. The already corrupted files WILL NOT load and I got a blue screen(not really surprised but I wanted to try it). Now I had saves in the off season prior to 2022 that included customs draft classes. I was able to use these and play, save and load in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons. So it looks like the patch snuffed out the problem. I hope everyone has a save close to 2022-2023 so they don’t have to totally start over.
@SfNiners816 Yep I had a save a week before the corruption. I tested by simming to the week of corruption and then backing out and loading back in and it worked!!!
I can confirm that this works now!
After installing the patch, I loaded up my save from before the crash and am happy to report that I was able to play past the point where it crashed and have verified that I can load the save again.
Thank you @EA_Barry and the dev team for addressing this. Great work guys.

Really shocked given EAs reputation for excellence but I had to reload to a point I had another player in the league and every time I resign with that owner it crashes.

No mine still freezes it freezes in game then go again then 2 plays later freezes. It happens in all modes for me unless I'm not playing online.

My game is freezing after playing the super bowl in the first season.
When I win the animations after time has expired doesn't play. The camera view is stuck and I just see players and ref's walking around. The gameplay freezes forcing you to “press x to skip”. Then after the game summary it gets stuck on a loading screen going back into the franchise mode main screen. I’ve played this specific game three times and the same result. I haven’t attempted simming past it yet.
I'm using a PS4 Pro with a live updated roster from before the season began.

when can we expect this patch to be uploaded?
I just bought the game this past week and I have constant crashing issues in franchise mode. In the first year of franchise mode. I'm not even through a full season and it crashes at least once per game. This is ridiculous that it's been an issue since release and hasn't been fixed.
- Platform (PC, XB1 or PS4):PC
- Gamertag/PSN ID/Origin ID: DrunkestHour
- In what Season is this happening (2021,2022,2023 etc): Every game in the first season
- Saved on Internal or External Hard Drive: Internal SSD
- Are you simming games, Yes/No: No
- When the crash happens, are you simming? If yes, can you play the game without simming: No
- Are you using default rosters: Yes
- Have you downloaded any user content: No
- Any error message? Please post the exact error: No error. Just crashes to desktop.
- Any other relevant details: Usually happens near the end of games.
I'm going to try to reinstall the game and then if it still happens I'm going to try installing on my secondary SSD. My drivers are completely up to date. Ryzen 1600 GTX 1080 16GB of ram. No issues with any other games including other origin games.
Didn't try reinstalling it, guess I'll give that a go. But I have gone through a dozen or more of these threads and I don't think anyone has ever been able to play without just simming through more than five or six seasons... That's ridiculous!
Is it working for anyone?
