Same here. It says to hit B to go back but it just selects the menu highlighted instead and changes options like I am holding left/right. The whole purpose I bought it was to play with a controller so I didn't have to relearn the keyboard controls.
I have heard to try to link it to steam instead and load in "big picture mode" but I have yet to try it. Shouldn't have to do this though.

i have exactly the same problem with my xbox 360 controller for windows. every other game works just dandy, but madden doesnt let me exit this friggin active controller screen... cant use mouse and keyboard as well as soon as that screen pops up...
game is unplayable for me right now because of this and the fullscreen-hdr-problem. paid 60 bucks for this.... 😞
