Timing should have been communicated. All I see is this - 

If you leveled up and unlocked these packs before the price increased but had yet to purchase them after the price increase, please contact our customer service team and we will refund the difference.

Plus it doesn’t help that when I chatted with EA Help on 12/6, it was also not noted that refunds wouldn’t be available after a certain time. Not to mention in that conversation I was told that the intention was to drop the price back down to 350. So, poor communication all around. And instead of extending some good will and honoring the refund, EA’s answer is “tough luck”, regardless of what someone was told or what was communicated. Unfortunately this has come to be expected when working with EA and that’s the sad part.
