Re: My last name is alerted as profane language.
Why is it our issue?
Why are we punished for your list of approved names being too long or sensitive?
What does EA plan on doing to rectify this? Your company is trying to make game play unique to each player but people with unique/uncommon names are negatively impacted.
With this issue primarily affecting an offline game mode, is EA going to take this issue seriously or because it isn’t tied to additional revenue, will EA just stick with the “Use another name response”?
Since 1997, I have been playing various sports games put out by your company and never had this issue. I have played NHL, NFL, FIFA PGA and NCAA Football. I have seen what little tweaks in the coding can do to game play in games from year to year.
The problem many people are experiencing can easily be fixed with a simple teak to the coding. As I’ve gotten older, I haven’t been able to buy every new edition of all those games due to bills and adult life so I don’t know when this issue would have started for me, however, this is my first time in 23 years experiencing this.
I tried to use the same last name I put on every create a player/be a pro mode in all those games. The last name I have used was one that Al Michaels said during game play because it was the same last name (same spelling) as a former NFL Linebacker. How does a legitimate last name go from acceptable to profane?
I am genuinely curious if EA has plan to fix this problem that is affecting more of their community than I had initially thought it would. I’d like an honest answer about this easy fix so the community can see how serious EA is taking our concerns with offline modes. With how expensive the games are and the extra money people put towards add-ons and online subscriptions, us consumers deserve honesty and transparency.
