The team has concluded this has been addressed in the previous update. We encourage players to reply to this thread if offline franchises will still not save post fix. We're definitely here to help pass along the details to the team when we're witnessing players report it still ongoing and frustrating for us to see players having a poor experience. I've seen you continually update this thread with the day timer. Would you be able to help us confirm whether new save files for you aren't working? Without the needed information we are requesting in the thread, with the significant amount of reduced reports we're seeing since it's been implemented, this has been resolved until further notice is given.
If you are still experiencing save files not loading or saving please respond with the following:- Gamertag/PSN ID
- Franchise (offline/online)
- Franchise type and roster type
- Are you able to save the franchise if you create an additional manual save?
- Platform you play on (If you are on next gen, are you playing a Gen 4 Franchise?)
- Have you re-installed the game?
- Do you have external hard drive attached to your console?
- What week were you on when the game failed to load

- @EA_Blueberry I haven’t tried a new file as Kansas updated lost files on Friday and amuzie reported lost files last Tuesday. That’s enough for me to not spend a couple dozen hours getting a franchise to a point that it won’t load. I feel EA should be able to confirm with all certainty that we can play the mode they advertised as upgraded this year. I am not playing the game and will not buy another one at launch, ever, until we are certain it is fixed.

Are you able to save the franchise if you create an additional manual save? Once dead its dead. You can load an old save before corrupted week but the rest of the season is dead. You can simulate to the next year and play a few games before its gone again.

What week were you on when the game failed to load: 2027 week 15. But like I have been writing if I didnt import a draft class that 1st season I could of played more seasons before the crash. But it always crash evetually.

This is happened even after this past update - @EA_Blueberry I made an account on here for the sole purpose of echoing what these poor users have been for 3 months now. I have an offline franchise mode (PS5) that was created post latest update that will not load. After playing week 18 of year 5 today I tried to exit the postgame and was hit with the error code, and of course now will not load my file. I unfortunately didn’t even create a backup (lmao at me) so after googling my issue and finding this sad, sad thread, I have come to the conclusion that my franchise which I have put countless hours into, is now unplayable. But what’s really upsetting is that this has been an issue since launch and possibly even in previous instillations, and how absolutely nothing is being done to resolve the issue as the dev team has decided to give up on us because we aren’t the cash cow. How can they say the issue is resolved when users are on here everyday explaining in detail why it isn’t? How can the guy who is supposedly the person who is pushing these bugs to get fixed not even know what the error code/bug look like as evidenced by him having zero clue what he’s looking at when a video of the game crashing is posted. It’s comically sad how much this side of the community is ignored. We finally get very slight upgrades to franchise and now the game is literally unplayable. And while we all can be mad at EA for wasting our time and money, I think we all should shoulder some blame as well, because how in world did we buy ANOTHER Madden game when franchise has been the same for 10 years. We are disappointed and forgotten about every single year and yet we still take the bait. I am quite literally in the process of buying a PS2 so I can play Madden 06/ESPN 2K5 to get some quality franchise mode gameplay.
I’m really sorry you all have had to deal with this for months now with no answers. This will probably be my only post as I am all but 99.9% certain my franchise is dead and any other one I make won’t make it past year 5. Good luck guys let’s cross our fingers and hope 2K is able to get their hands on simulation rights in 4 years…

Who’d have thought we’d still be counting after Thanksgiving!!!! Or week 12 of the NFL season! How time flies!!
Just tell us they aren’t going to fix it and I will honestly leave you alone. At least that’s an answer. I’d say counting off 100 days with an unplayable “upgraded” game mode… on the company’s designated help site would be embarrassing enough for someone to fix it but here we are. - Gamertag/PSN ID

What do you have plugged into your console? I see a controller charging dock and another wire. - @EA_Blueberry There’s nothing plugged into the console. The charging dock is to the outlet on the wall and the one wire was for when I turn on safe mode to use the controller

- @EA_Blueberry Also worth mentioning that Blueberry asked for users to try franchise again and report back if it doesn’t work (lol at your consumers doing the product testing) and has yet to respond to brand new users like me who made an account to specifically given him the info he asked for, which is that franchise is still in fact broken even tho this is now labeled as “solved”. Pathetic

SOOOOOO! EA just announced that they're canceling all future updates for franchise mode SMH. So does that include any future hopes for this issue ever being fixed?

- @jboss2244 Not that this was ever going to get fixed but yeah this 100% confirms they are aware of the game breaking issues and are so annoyed at us wanting to be able to play last year 5 that they’ll just take “franchise” out their vocabulary until they shove more fake promises down our throat in the lead up to Madden 23

It all makes sense, honestly. You bought it already. We know it sucks so the upgrades we promised are cancelled to build the next game. Which you should buy. You’ll be able to save in that one we promise.

Reposting to ensure we get the information we need to have this looked into further. The team pushed out a fix and based off current results it's significantly reduced the amount of reports we've seen. We need more examples to determine if it is account specific or hardware related.
Please continue to update this thread with the information we are looking to gather and keep unrelated chat to a minimum. It's important players experiencing freezing in franchises see this template so we can get this looked into for you all that are impacted. Without this information, it can make it increasingly difficult to help push results.
Regarding the link. EA does not comment on rumors because that is what they are, rumors. Unless it's an official source and announcement from EA we do not have any official info to share. RESTORED PREVIOUS VERSION OF SAVE THAT HAPPENED TO BE EARLY IN THE 2026 SEASON. SIMULATED THROUGH TO PLAYOFFS AGAIN AND WHEN I PLAYED FIRST PLAYOFF GAME IT DID IT AGAIN. I RESTORED A PREVIOUS SAVE AND THEN JUST SIMULATED EVERYTHING THROUGH TO 2027. I STARTED SIMULATING GAMES IN 2027, BUT I DID PLAY OFFENSE IN ONE OR TWO GAMES AND IT SEEMED FINE. - I don't think this question keys on the problem. you can make multiple saves on a non corrupted file, yes. but the advancement of that original file or any of its manual copies will corrupt

- it happens around just past the midseason point of the 5th year in. 2026 around week 10 is essentially a death loop for this game. Have never made it past this point in any franchise test.
- both the autosave and original file become corrupted every time. Past saves from earlier in season or even the season before still break once reaching the same point.
I know that you said last week that the team said they addressed this in the last update but it just feels like you guys are gas lighting your players at this point. I think most of us would rather nothing be said than be told it was addressed when it so evidently had been not. Scroll through this entire thread. there's so many people in here having variations of this issue and running so many trial and error attempts at getting past this corrupted save issue. people want to play your game, you can tell by the amount of people trying. so I think we should skip over the half hearted replies acting like EA says there is a way around this. There's not, there needs to be a patch by the team to directly fix it. the responses here on EA's behalf just feel like they don't think the user base is actually trying to get past this issue.

- @JustinSlyght OH! and now I have a CFM that is also corrupted when it was just working minutes before my previous post. I'm very pleased with this innovative franchise game mode so far 🙂
My offline franchise still takes me back to the menu for franchise still can’t play it the issue isn’t fixed

Yeah so far I haven’t had that issue since getting a ps5 (had an Xbox one before) however after I downloaded a draft class half way through the season (after I drafted the downloaded draft class) I got this problem. Like literally a few minutes ago today. Now on this site it’s saying whatever is down for maintenance so I’m hoping that why but isn’t then I for one am done buying the same [Removed - CM] video game every year since it’s literally become a waste of time. So yeah “get back with me with a reply”
Which you rather spend 60-70 dollars on Madden and just pray they actually upgrade franchise (they won’t) or would you rather spend an extra 50-60 to get 2K5/Madden 06 with updated rosters and never have to worry about it again?

- @EA_Blueberry Half dozen examples provided since you wrote this. I’m not spending dozens of hours to play a game that still crashes. It isn’t fixed.
If reports have dropped, maybe it is because people like me are playing The Show and decreasingly care about Madden. They don’t message in month 4.
Offline franchise players aren’t your “gamer” crowd, spending additional money on MUT. They play a football game before they go to bed. Most won’t go through the trouble to set up an account to write on this thread, although there are hundreds of posts.
“There aren’t enough posts anymore” = MUT makes more money than the manpower it would cost to fix the issue. Which is apparently gone now to work on college football.
Your credibility is shot man. It’s December. Fix it.
