Well you actually can if you upload the custom roster to a online connected franchise you are both in and then play against each other. - @EA_Blueberry Great, could I ask, how do I do this? Does it involve the area where you download or upload custom rosters, because that never seems to be working?

There is currently an issue where players are getting a connection error when they visit the Madden Share/Community Files section. That is being looked into for a fix in the near future. Please stay tuned to this thread below for updates. It is impacting multiple Madden titles.
