Overscan is (*should*) be something that was consigned to history since we left CRT TVs behind.
Most TVs should have an aspect ratio option that will display 100% of the signal output over HDMI. It should be called "Full", on Toshibas it is called "Exact Scan" and on Samsungs it is called "Auto" (cycle through them all to see what you have)
If not, I'd be interested in knowing what make/ model your TV is.
