Re: Same team Franchise mode

@Gabebanks3333

You're not able to play co-op in Franchise mode where both players can play on the same team. You're able to have multiple human players within a Franchise where they can all control their own teams though.

    That’s what I thought.but couldn’t believe EA was this dumb. Hard to believe that we have less options with newer games than older models.

    There's a finite amount of resources for the development team to add new features to the game. Franchise Co-op is a request I've seen in the last few months come up more often. I didn't see it too often for Madden 19 on the forums though. Couch Co-op in general is always a fan loved feature, but with a significant portion of players going to online modes from their own consoles, couch co-op style features aren't as popularly vocalized as they used to be in the past.

    Some examples of factors to consider are demand for the feature from the community, how hard and long it would take to implement, along with the costs involved. If it's difficult to implement and only 2% of the playerbase will frequently use it (just throwing out hypothetical numbers here), they may have to put it aside for other features higher in demand, despite it would be pretty cool to have. We see a ton of awesome suggestions every day and when the team has hundreds to choose from, there's difficult decisions to be made on what makes it in and what doesn't.

    The great thing about these forums though is that we can discuss great features like this and gauge how many others out there are interested. I'll frequently merge some posts together here to help vocalize requests when I can. If anyone like yourself is interested in this type of mode, feel free to jump in and join the discussion. We can't always promise features will be implemented in the current Madden or future iteration, or if at all, but we're always open ears and willing to chat about what could make the game a better experience for you.

    Thanks for coming by with your feedback, @Gabebanks3333

    All I want is to play WITH my brother not against. Finite or not this should be on your radar. You have coop online modes already. If I want to be a qb and my brother wants to be a WR then it shouldn't be difficult.  You release this game EVERY YEAR with reused assets. Some people don't want to buy in your loot box irl trading card game. We just want to play football

    Even if you made it to allow people to pick different positions. Example, I choose a custom coach for chiefs. My friend pics owner and another a custom QB. Some kind of Co op would be great.

    To be honest we’ve been asking for Online Co-Op since Franchise Mode online was available. People hardly play couch co-op anymore. I understand that most of your revenue comes from MUT understandably. You also have a huge fan base that loves what Madden was truly built on which was the Franchise mode. (Seasons, Drafts, Injury’s, Salary Cap, etc.)  With that said you’re losing the majority of your older / original supporters of Madden. I’ve purchased every Madden up until last years edition due to the fact there has been no significant updates on Franchise mode. I also feel we are not being as valued or marketed towards. I get at a certain age people quit playing video games so you have to keep your focus towards the New Gen and what is trending. It just sucks every year now bc I remember when I used to get excited about launch date, staying up late and even taking the next day off from work to play. If you want to increase profits for next years Madden think about revamping Franchise mode and advertise it aggressively. You will win back your older customers who have quit purchasing your game.

    Thank you for the free 10hr demo. I know that is not required of you to do that. Also thank you for releasing it for free around the end of year like you’ve been doing.

    @dbuckrowdy77 PREACH. Bro this is all ive been asking for and its so simple to * implement but they re skin the game and dont add a single new feature and slap that 70 dollar tag on er. all me and my buddy want to do is play through a season together from different states and they cant even figure that out. * EA
  • Why can’t we? We pay $70 for a new game. We should be able to play on the same team as friends. Should not be that hard. EA disappoints again.

    why was this decision made after all of these years? When i try it, the controller still pops up to slide over but wont move, is there any plans on this in the future so i can play with my friends on the other side of the country?

    me and all of my army buds used to be able to sit next to each other and just slide the controller over and play, when we got seperated, we would use share play. Then in madden 24, i noticed a bug or something implemented where when the time ran out, the game would change the controller when reconnected and would have to restart the game since it wouldn't detect the previous color. Now you are rid of it all together. it pains me that this is done away with as it was a favorite passtime. I played 24/CFB until this release only to be disappointed by this. I would love to see it back

    2024, still no Co-Op Franchise Blueberry. It’s ok though, all you’re doing is preventing a generational run from a high powered NFL franchise that could spike the NFLs total revenue. “Bad for Bishnish”- Tony Soprano.
