I'm the second guy to speak on this thread months ago.  How has there been nothing done?  We've been waiting so long, John Madden has died and nothing's been done.  Just issue refunds and let's be done with this.  Officially the worst customer service in history.

SOmething has been done!  They classified this issue as fixed!  Never buy an EA product again!  I know I won't!

Wow this is absolutely, absolutely terrible. The NFL season literally finished and this was never addressed, and we reached out back in like Week 6! I can’t believe the response here was: “ok well this one little workaround works for one guy, so this must be all squared away for everyone” and you classified it as solved and have ghosted us ever since. Absolutely pathetic. Going into this year Madden 22 was a pivotal one for me, hoping franchise mode would take a turn for the better. This has proven you guys couldn’t care less. I’d ask for a refund again but who cares at this point, you won’t answer. Never buying this garbage again. 

I am a PS5 user. I have the same issue. 

i control all 32 teams. Just completed the offseason, and the draft, at the first preseason game. 
Im going through and adding FA to rosters of other teams, filling them out. 

I’ll play full games with the chiefs. Have not been able to complete a game yet. The moment a flag happens, the camera fixates on the ball, and then at the end I’m stuck in the infinity loop loading screen. 
with other teams, I usually play a little D, but mainly just go offense only. I can finish the game that way. I’ve played 5 other games that way. I didn’t know it, but it seems to be a workaround. Still ridiculous 

Its also ridiculous that this has been a problem since NOVEMBER and that it hasn’t been addressed/fixed.

What is going on? 
why isn’t this being addressed? 

franchise is already broken anyway, so it’s honestly no surprise. It stays neglected. 

Well, this is gonna be my last reply here. I was playing some other game and saw apparently there was a madden update. So, out of curiosity I headed over there and fired it up. One last chance. Maybe it’s been addressed after all this time, who knows? I literally hit the franchise tab off the the main menu and the game crashed. Keep in mind, I reached out weeks ago in this same thread, detailing this very crash but when the game loaded franchise - now it’s crashing when you press the franchise tab lmao. I can honestly not think of a more fitting, more poetic way to end this. I’m impressed at how little you guys cared and tried to address this, honestly. Congrats on absolutely stealing paychecks, I respect the hustle. You avoided this problem for so many months on end, that now when I trade this * in it’ll be a nice $0.25 GameStop credit. Again, bravo. You’ve lost a customer for life. 

I've been playing last year's version still because Madden 22 is so badly flawed but I decided to try a franchise after the latest update expecting some fixes, nope it is worse!
Now every game I play the loop of death happens at the end so I waste an hour playing and nothing saves. 

This is an embarrassment and dishonour to Madden and his name should be removed from such a pathetic game. It's a disgrace!

Some of you brought up a flag is thrown when this occurs. Is this happening to everyone here? For those that claim it happens at the end of the game, are you declining a penalty in order to end the game?

This does not appear to be a widespread issue and specific under certain conditions we're attempting to learn. Everyone here looks to be playing in a variety of settings for their league so it can be a combination of that and what is happening at the moment to trigger this. If there are any recordings of your gameplay a few minutes prior to this happening and/or details you can recall what happened just prior (penalties on the field, connection error) that can be helpful for the team while they continue testing.

In my case at least, none of these games are ending on a penalty. However, flags thrown in the 4th quarter take an unnervingly long time to load. The play ends, the camera focuses on where the ball is set, the players go to their huddles and then it just... thinks. This can be skipped or completed by briefly pausing and unpausing. Play goes back to normal.

I also want to mention, even though I seem to recall someone else mentioning it, that the camera focuses on the ball from the final play for the entirety of the post-game show. Whether "watched" or skipped, doesn't matter, same issues.

This sounds very similar to what I experience. 

I had penalties turned off since I'm a loser and simply like to rack up stats a lot of the time.

So, no penalties on my end. Mine would always crash when I clicked "end game" in a post season game like the Superbowl in later seasons (2029+). I had changed teams several times throughout my franchise as well and made multiple trades in the offseason. I experience this bug almost every save file and it is always in late season or post season games. I had noticed someone else say that they noticed the issue mostly occurred after week 10 for them. Is it safe to assume that this issue hasn't been fixed with this title update then? I want to play again, but am afraid to with how often it happens to me. I lose all of my progress almost every time and have not enjoyed this years installment at all because of it. I made it to 2033 once and the amount of back up saves I had to create was simply obnoxious. Each crash would wipe out two files. It's nuts. In the end I still lost the 2033 file. 

I may have some time to sit down and try franchise again this next week, but I'm nervous to do so if my efforts will be in vain. I'll write down everything that occurs, but I'll be honest and say that I did that already clear back in October and November and posted multiple details on a different thread that blew up and faced the same issue. With that said... I suppose it is possible that I received an offside penalty on accident near the end of one of the games... but I lost my file a lot and I know I didn't commit that many offside penalties. 

Anyways, hopefully this was covered in the title update, but it doesn't sound like it. I hope it still gets fixed for this years title though. Anyways... Good luck guys! Thanks for the work.

The best we can hope for is madden 23 and an offline franchise pay DLC.... I think we can only count on a fix if they make money after buying the game ☹️ 

Not about to buy Madden 23 when Madden 22 has a bug that made playing Franchise mode unplayable, and they didn't fix it.

If my completely inexperienced opinion is worth anything, I'd guess it has something to do with RAM allocation? Especially as long games drag on (In my case 12 minute quarters). If there's anything more I can do, please let me know.

Update 1.015 does not seem to have fixed the issue. (Which is frankly fine at this point as my test game was BS)

I've had the issue for as long as i've had the game, PS5, and so have several of my friends. EA has known about the issue for almost a year and not done anything about it. Since I only play Franchise mode, it makes the game completely unplayable to me and I was unable to get a refund, so in essence I just lost the money I spent on the game.

I’m sorry to say but for a game costing £59 the failure to resolve this horrible game breaking bug in the time EA have had to do so is absolutely pathetic. You really should be offering refunds at this point. I honestly am not interested in any other game mode than Franchise mode so the game is useless to me and because I’ve downloaded it and played it for a short while I’m no longer eligible for a refund through PlayStation. 

Completely agree. That's me also. I downloaded it, spent time setting it up, went into Franchise mode, spent time setting my team up, etc. then exited my first game and got this hang up. Exited the game and tried again, same thing. Exited and rebooted the PS5, same thing. Went online (this is quite some time ago in several forums and reddit and discovered a lot of other people were having the same problem. Contacted EA, they only said uninstall and reinstall. Did that, same problem.  Waited for updates, none have fixed it. The game is absolutely broken, EA has done nothing to fix it, and I feel like they stole my money. 

I'm aware it is far too little too late for a lot of people here. But I just got through a game without any of the awkward loading/freezing in the 4th quarter and actually finished a game.

The game did crash unexpectedly in the 3rd quarter. I sent a report along with video. But another addition during this last patch seems to be an option to pick up a game where it was left off after a quit out, error or anything player-related. So I actually got to finish shellacking the Seahawks.

I'm hoping this feature also makes it into '23 because we've needed something akin to autosave for a long time, especially in modes with longer games like franchise.

GFDI, or that was a fluke and it's not fixed. Same pauses at flags, same camera fixation on the ball, same loading screen at the end. No autosave towards the end of the game like I hoped.

Signed up for an account to say this happens to my Madden 22 game on a PS5. I got the game brand new from an auction site so only spent $9 but holy crap would I be pissed it I paid $60 for this and EA still hasn't fixed this issue. I was considering buying Madden 23 but no way will I ever buy another madden game after this one. What a complete bait and switch. EA only wants to support the money making features in M22. 

I waited for a long time for them to fix this. It is VERY reproducible. I think they ignore it because their focus is on online play.

I will not purchase Madden 23 until people have beem playing for a few months and we see if they fixed it (and what other bugs are in it.)
