Yeah exactly. Steam & Origin "cross-play" was working before the update that Steam got. I'm not sure if this was intentionally done by EA, but if it is, it is disgusting and so scummy of them to do. And if it is not intentional, then it's sheer incompetence to let that kind of a bug through and have it out in the wild for several days now, with no communication from them. Either way I feel completely scammed. This is seriously a new low for this franchise, and that's really saying something.

When the game first launched, I was able to play the game against my friend who bought madden on origin. Now, despite being added as friends and I can see him online, AND online runs through origin anyway, I am unable to play with him. We still share the same connected franchise, too. Did they TAKE THE FEATURE OUT?

It would be very helpful if there was any sort of communication from the dev team. Was this change intentional? Is it a bug? Any sort of communication would help, please.

Well I can't help that its true or not. I outlined that was the case and they repeatedly outlined it was not supported. They later removed the tweets no fix as of yet to the issue that I am aware of.
