The only slider adjustment I've made is lowering injuries to 20 and I am the sole player in this league.

The franchise I'm using was started almost on release day.  If you feel it would help, feel free to poke around in my CFM.  League name and password is included.  I'll even provide my gamertag and password if you'd like to try for yourselves.

For kicks and giggles, I started a second frachise with the same settings (leaving gameplay sliders completely alone) and simmed to midseason.  I was instantly able to reproduce this issue.  To be clear, all traits are purchasable but the listed price of the trait is inaccurate.   Here's a clear example:

Player:  R Foster

Available XP: 6011

Clutch Upgrade: 5625

Difference: 386

Upgrade Cannot be Purchased

Available XP: 6011

DL Spin Upgrade: 3937

Difference: 2074

Trait Purchased. 

Remaining XP After Upgrade: 1199

Actual Cost of Upgrade: 2738, ~132% increase.

I took screens of this, but they are large, so I'll have to attach in a couple posts.

This is a dummy league, so you guys can feel free to sandbox as much as you want with it:

Update:  Since I'm working from home anyway today, I reinstalled M18 entirely just to see if the issue would resolve itself.

But alas!  The issue persists.  On a side note the NFL.com newsfeed is giving me current information as opposed to the same preseason feed I've been seeing for 4 weeks.

Has there been any word on when this will be patched? Also when the patch does come down will i have to restart my franchise mode? Im at the end of the first season on my franchise mode and waiting before i continue.

@EA_Barry there is no change in either an existing franchise or a newly created one.

@EA_Barry you asked us about the status and then went silent. Is there any update regarding the status of the fix for this issue?

@EA_Barry  This is absurd. I am one of the weirdo's who only buys this game because I enjoy the management aspect of running an NFL franchise. I sim every game.  Bugs like this are especially damaging to my style of gameplay. It literally kills the game for me if I cannot grow and develop my players.   There is no excuse for a game breaking bug to persist like this.

Your frustration that this is not yet resolved is totally understandable.

As soon as there is more info to share with you, I will let you know ASAP.

Thank you for the fix in the recent Madden Title Update. I haven't tested it yet, but i saw the update notes saying it has been addressed!
