Re: User to User trade bug: "Send to the undefined"

So we found a work around today. 

We disabled trades and then advanced the week.

we then turned trades back on.

then we went into the player rosters and went to view a player to be traded, went to the trade away player option that comes up when viewing a player.

put all the pieces of the trade in that way.

DO NOT go into trade center.

we have been trading all day ever since these steps were taken. Only in trade away player from the player card screen.

    Confirmed that this worked in our league - trading via the player card. (not using the trade center)

    @TheRev23xxx Good afternoon. My league is having the same issue. Was hoping you can help since you got yours to work. When selecting your first player, you can go to roster and click trade player (on the player card), that automatically brings you to the trade center.. do you click into the trade center & then just select “view player card” then send trade through trade center?… and did you have to turn trades on /off as well?

    step 1) turn trades off
    step 2) advance week
    step 3) turn trades on
    **Not sure if you need to complete steps 1-3 for this to work, but we did that**
    step 4) go to a player card
    step 5) click "trade away"
    step 6) fill out the trade and hit send
    step 7) accept the trade
    step 8) success

    Glad the player card trade method worked. Shouldn’t even need to do this but here we are

    It's been 10 days and there hasn't even been an official word about a fix for this. This is insane. We have users finding some crazy work around just to make it work but the devs can't even figure anything out? Oh ya, that's right they are too busy on MUT to give a shred of time towards franchise. 

    Like cool that you guys figured out a trade fix here but that doesn't even fix the franchise bugs with the game reverting weeks, player cuts, player upgrades etc. Franchise mode is legit unplayable.

    157 posts and not one of them is EA saying they acknowledge the bug exists and are working to patch it

    The steps listed above don't work. We started a new league, ran through the steps and after about 15-30 mins it's back to being broken. Literally the same thing in all 4 tests we've done. Multiple random "fixes" reported by users and each league ends up the exact same, we get mostly everyone joined and then after a few minutes it's back to being broken.

    Hey everyone, 

    We saw some reports that recent updates may have improved this. 

    Are you still running into the same issues when you're trying to trade?

    @EA_Kent definitely not, you care to explain what was done in the update that would've resolved this? It looks like the update didn't have anything to do with franchise. You guys clearly need to look at the code and find why the variable is coming back as undefined. This feels like something that just needs attention from a coder to me and it would be fixed.

    Thanks for following up. I didn't say it was fixed, just that we might have seen some improvements. 


    We're still looking into this and working on it, I just wanted to check in and see if anyone had noticed any changes.

    Nope, can’t trade at all says “sent to undefined” when user to user and says “we can’t afford to lose <position> at this time” when user to CPU even if they trade bar is all the way green

    @EA_Kent We have been asking for a month now I’m going to show some frustration. Why hasn’t this been fixed? You guys have been “looking into this” for weeks man.
