We saw some reports that recent updates may have improved this.

- brett84favre3 years agoSeasoned Traveler@EA_Kent definitely not, you care to explain what was done in the update that would've resolved this? It looks like the update didn't have anything to do with franchise. You guys clearly need to look at the code and find why the variable is coming back as undefined. This feels like something that just needs attention from a coder to me and it would be fixed.

Thanks for following up. I didn't say it was fixed, just that we might have seen some improvements.
We're still looking into this and working on it, I just wanted to check in and see if anyone had noticed any changes. Nope, can’t trade at all says “sent to undefined” when user to user and says “we can’t afford to lose <position> at this time” when user to CPU even if they trade bar is all the way green
- toyotarcn883 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@EA_Kent We have been asking for a month now I’m going to show some frustration. Why hasn’t this been fixed? You guys have been “looking into this” for weeks man.

We have seen no improvement in our league. We have had to resort to a custom discord channel for people to coordinate trades. At any given time there are 5+ trades in the queue, and nobody can trade until people above them execute their trades and make sure the "Trade accepted" message is cleared from both people. This is extremely inconvenient when dealing with many different peoples schedules and is leading to a lot of frustration and people not having their players for several game weeks sometimes.

Hey everyone,
I wanted to see if I could gather some additional info on this to pass it along to the team.
If you're still running into this same issue, can you let me know the following:- How many members are in your League?
- Is the person who initiates the trade the only one who sees the issue, or does it happen with both people?

32 members in my league (which we have re-made 4 times) and the error occurs to the person initiating the trade, the person receiving it never even gets to see the trade.
There have been random moments where trading works for a few mins then goes back to the error. (doesn't matter if you use the trade center or through player card)
Each league we have made results in the same thing, trading works for the beginning for a short period of time then the error starts after a few trades are made. 32 person league, and when you attempt to offer a trade you get the screen in the attached photo. I'd say about 90% of the time this happens. There is an off chance (at least for my league) the trade will get offered, but more than a majority of the time it's that screen. All 32 users in my league have had this issue.

The only person that sees it is the one who initiates the trade because it doesn’t go through for the other person to see it. The trade offer is never completed. We’re in week 2 of the season but there were trades that went through earlier. We’ve both tried to initiate the trade and we both get the same message. I’ve actually had 2 trades failed. I hadn’t played my game for this week yet, but with one of the trades, he has played his game and with the other trade partner, he hasn’t played his game yet, either. But same error for all 3 of us when we try to initiate the trades.

The person who initiates the trade is the only one who sees it. But the trade does not go through at all.
Only way trade proposals go through is if there are no outstanding “trade accepted” prompts on anyones franchise front page. If someone didn’t clear that prompt , further trading will not work.
So something about that prompts is blocking further trading in the league. This is confirmed multiple times. - rdoss13 years agoSeasoned NewcomerSo after an advance to the next week we were able to do the trade.

We are a 32 person league. It is only the person that sends the trade that sees the "undefined" screen.
We have had luck making a "One trade at a time" policy and not letting someone submit the next trade until the two that just traded verified that they have cleared all trade related messages.It doesn't always work though, right now we are getting the glitch after making everyone verify that they don't have any trade messages (this is not an easy thing to do and there is no way to ensure it's accuracy)
We think if we advance to next week with trades off and then turn them on again, it should work. It has in a previous week. Our advance is tonight, so I'll follow up with an edit after that.Appreciate the time of the team, this really needs to get fixed along with the draft glitches and 32 user glitch (I hope to god you are aware of that one, there is a massive bug report going back to EARLY last year on that one)
The new upgrades really mean next nothing if we can't fundamentally run our leagues without fear of having to restart. I can't overstate how much manpower and frustration that causes to us CFM managers (and it's users)- @Todd_Burt @EA_Kent
Todd said it perfectly. We have been testing on a full league that got jacked up because of the “no user” glitch that was also messed up from the user defined issue.
Ultimately following the rules Burt mentioned, turn off trades, vancing and turn back on and the. Go to the rosters page to trade away or trade for has been working.
What I’ve found-
After we follow those steps, we can have about 16-18 notifications open, before it breaks, then We followed those steps and it was good the next week.
So currently to be safe we are just executing one trade at a time, but it’s quite painful. And I’m petrified for the offseason going into season 2 cause you have far less Vance’s. - toyotarcn883 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@EA_Kent Will this be fixed soon ?
