Usually, the age to play online is 13 but is different in some regions, 18 is just not correct.

It is possible you are not getting the notification to allow online play if the 'child' account is too young (and the PS account age cannot be changed).

The issue is complicated by the fact that you are dealing with both an EA child account and a PlayStation child account and your region may be having an effect too. 

It may be worthwhile contacting support again to see what age the EA child account is set to.

    Is there another fix for this? My son was able to use Ultimate Team fine and now all of a sudden he is blocked for the same reason outlined in the original thread?

    same. was working, now isn't for FIFA. something must have changed...
