Receiving a Loss Due To Network

So when playing Madden 19 Online with other players, and somehow out of no where ,your Wi-Fi starts to lag, due to either low signal strength, heavy network traffic etc. And the connection is lost. Now when that happens Madden gives the player an " Lost. " in which I don't think its much fun. The other player receives a " Win ". Madden shouldn't give a win to neither player. The game should be forfeited due to the players network. I'm sure we agree on this, GOD Bless

We appreciate the feedback on this, @quan516ny

If you're experiencing connection issues quite often, check out the article we have here for solutions: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/

In general, going to a wired connection is recommend because it's less likely to get disrupted and you maintain a consistent strength of connection the entire game. Most disconnections happen from users on a WiFi connection because they are just more susceptible to being interrupted from things like you mentioned, such as heavy network traffic. If it's possible to get wired in I'd do that going forward.

A player must remain in the game the entire way to avoid receiving a loss. If players didn't receive a loss for disconnecting that can be subject to abuse (intentionally unplugging the internet when you're about to lose to avoid an L on your record). The Madden team is always enhancing their servers to help players stay connected and I know these situations can be frustrating. We'll do what we can to pass along concerns like this when possible.

Good luck in your next game!

I discern your perspective “ EA BLUEBERRY “, however with the way technology is setup, it is constantly changing, people are ready to connect to WiFi with a wireless connection, it’s less hassle. Let’s say there’s a kid out there in the world who doesn’t know what an Ethernet cord is, nor can they afford one. So Wireless play is what seems to be more popular, connect to the signal and play. Let’s say we’re playing online and due to the weather, or network traffic in my area, I lose connection. I could be winning 21-0.... in the 4th quarter. And my connection is lost, you would get that win and not me. So it’s a waste to play Madden, when you put out your best plays and lose connection that you have no control over. Madden * EA SPORTS*  should take this into consideration, and forfeit the game, for BOTH players. And then if there good ! You can request a 1 on 1 no rank game. Just a better playing experience 🙂
