Setting up EA Access Account for my Kid

My 9-year-old son wants to play online tournaments on Madden2k19. Can't do this without an EA Access account. Can't create that for a kid. EA wants an adult to setup their own EA access account, THEN setup a child's access.

50% of customer ratings for EA Access is 1-Star out of 5 stars. The biggest complaint is account setup and inability to cancel. I'll bet soup-to-nuts, EA will want to charge me for both my son's and my accounts. Not willing to do this and they won't provide any information.

Given these concerns, I'm not willing to do what EA asks me to do to set up an EA Access account for my son.

My expectation is that I pay the $29.99 for EA Access account for MYSELF... then I will setup a child's account FOR FREE for my son to use. Let me know the case. Thanks.

    Hi @Greersome

    While EA Access is a membership service to access our games, the billing portion of it will go through your Microsoft account under the subscriptions section. If you have any questions around that, I'd recommend reaching out to Xbox Support. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

    If you want to see where your EA Access membership is or cancel it, this is where you'll see it. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/billing/xbox-subscriptions

    Now regarding your account and your son's account. If you sign up under your account your son will be able to access the games in The Vault, but the Play First Trials will only be available to the Xbox Gamertag that signed up for EA Access.

    If your son has an underage account with EA during the sign up process, he may be restricted from accessing specific games and/or multiplayer features due to child protection laws we must oblige to. You can always reach out to our EA Advisors if you want to double-check the status of his account or inquire more about EA Access memberships.
