Sons account wont connect MUT
my sons account which in a family member PSN account and has his own ea account wont connect on MADDEN 21 was never an issue with any other madden. Anyone know how I can fix it?

Yeah I just created another psn account for mine still used his ea account and it works so its def on playstations end although they won't admit it
That won't work for my son since he pays for ps+. Every other EA game works, and Madden 21 is brand new, so I don't believe the issue is on PS4's side.
As a customer, EA needs to make sure their product works on whatever platform they are selling it on.
Spoke to tech support. They say it is happening for just some users and not all users. They have been looking into the issue today. No idea of when a fix would be in place, but the more reports, the higher the priority will be.
Hey @bmloder8 - so what you did was, create a new PSN ID in your family for your son...but sign in with his normal EA account...and everything worked okay?
My wife doesn't play any EA games, and is obviously an adult, so I wonder what would happen if I signed in under *her* PSN account but put in his EA account.

The Madden NFL QA team is still investigating this, however I do not have any specific updates to share at the moment. It's important to reach out to our Support team if you haven't yet in the event this could be an account related issue that can be addressed from their end. I have the exact same problem. My account is also a minor and every other madden game it worked fine but as soon as I load up madden 21 it doesnt let me play anything online. Hopefully it is a bug
APEX Legends and all other Maddens load fine. Battlefront 2 used to, but now does not after we updated it (haven't used it in a while). EA has sold my son an unusable and very expensive product. EA needs to fix the issue. The answer is not to start creating new accounts to circumvent an EA issue. My son has PS+, so that is not an option.
I just called EA. Now they are saying that because it is an underage account that he cannot play Madden 21 online per COPPA (https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/complying-coppa-frequently-asked-questions-0). He has had no issue with prior EA games, so this is bunk since COPPA has been in place for over 20 years. EA should be using the PS4 security model, not making their own rules.
They sold him the MVP game for $90, but he cannot even save his LOCAL game progress or get his extra MVP packs. They said they could not refund it and go to PS4. All of Son'ys agents are too busy to chat, and their automated chatbot says he cannot get a refund. Used PSN points for it, so I cannot go to my credit card.
Anyone else having similar issues?
Agreed; why do I have to create a new psn account because they released a new game that doesn’t work?
