Streamlined Pre-Play
First, I guess I should state the obvious, I am not a Madden Ultimate Team or Online multiplayer gamer. Over the years I play Madden alone in Franchise mode. I have no interest in the other features because it is not for me. No disrespect to all you other gamers out there that like to play online and against other people, but I don't. With that being said, it feels each year players like me are being pushed aside for the larger Ultimate Team community. Despite the limited updates and customizations to Madden Franchise, I still considered myself a loyal customer who played the game yearly since 2004. I have never complained online, but I will admit it sucks that Franchise is the least appreciated mode in the entire game. Now there is the new streamlined pre-play calling and this is where the line has been drawn for me. I get the purpose of this fast pace gaming experience when you are playing against others or in competitions. However, franchise players like me it takes away from the experience. The entire game now feels like NFL Blitz. It's arcade-style and fast-paced with superhero level individual players. The pre-play calling allowed for defensive adjustments, audibles, or time outs if you realized you had the wrong defensive set to stop the opposing team. It also allowed for Franchise players to substitute players that are unable to stop certain receivers or backs. I just don't understand why it is not an option to play with the streamline pre-play calling or keep the experience to the original setting in which the offense walked to the line and allowed the player to see how to attack the offensive set or defensive set. My question, because I don't think this feature will be available in Madden 20, which at this time I am unable to play because it moves way too fast. Is there any consideration to adjust this feature in next year's game? I have Madden 20, but I stopped playing it because I can't. It is way too fast and the franchise mode feels like an arcade experience to me. I know my feeling about the streamline pre-play calling is in the minority here and I anticipate the ugly comments from online users in response to this post. However, I am not alone and my question is directed to reasonable developers with EA who dedicated their time and resources to Madden each year. I'm asking you and your development team on behalf of the small but loyal traditional franchise Madden players around the globe, for next year's game will your team consider the option to turn on and off streamlined pre-playcalling? Walking to the line of scrimmage, some of us liked it for strategic purposes and would enjoy the experience again. Thank you. I hope a developer responds. Sorry in advance if my post sounds mean, I'm just hurt that my favorite football game is no longer a game I can play for relaxation and enjoyment anymore because of one feature.
