Thanks for getting back. Was curious if it would at least make it more enjoyable for you while it's been getting looked into by the team. I've seen other forum users experience performance issues when they had a lot of external hard drives or other types of hardware (ex: Oculus) attached to the system.
A new update has been released on PC. Can you all try jumping in and let us know how the game is performing for you?
After the update (Aug 20) I played 3 games and had no freezes. However, audio problems remain. Also, rather than freezes, I get pauses (< 1 sec) that occur about the same frequency as the freezes did before the update (about 3-4 per game). This is with running the game at a normal priority and ultra graphics settings.

Okay, here is my report:
After I installing the latest Madden 20 Patch, nothing has changed. Still stuttering and long freezings.
After that I installed the latest NVIDIA Patch who released yesterday. For the first time I had a long freezing in the intro and then a "lost connection to the server" error message.
So I restarted directly Madden and then worked flawlessly.
But ingame has nothing changed. Audio choppy, game stuttering and freezings. After switching the priority of madden20.exe back to "real time", the audio choppy was gone as usual. But still game stuttering and freezings.
CPU usage is still beetween 85% and 95%. Except during the freezing, then the CPU usage is permanently 100%. Sometimes with "Connection lost" error message if the freeze longer then 15 seconds.
Sorry for my bad english.

I thought freezes were fixed for me, but they have returned - darn.

It feels like it's worse after the update. After only 2 Minutes ingame I got a 15 - 20 seconds freeze and then a "connection lost" error message.
It's so frustrating because it seems randomly. Sometimes I can play game after game (with minimal stuttering and freezings) and sometimes it's unplayable, stuttering with 15 seconds freeze and connection lost error message. Although I do not change anything.

Ok this has gone on for some time now. Please can this be looked into. I do a get a game going by setting to realtime but it is not ideal and like everyone else here my pc is not from the stone age. Thanks

Okay, I think I have something here. I hope I can explain it with my bad english.
First, it has never been so bad for me. I got in EVERY game a 20 - 30 seconds freeze with "connection lost" error message. But I found something out.
I play in window mode by the way. Each time it's frozen for longer, I pressed ALT + TAB to make the window inactive. This had the effect that the game went on again. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few seconds. I repeated that with every long freeze. And that happened often! As I said, it has never been so bad. It froze 8 to 12 times per game. But whenever I pressed ALT + TAB, the game went on. I played so three games and I had no "lost connection" message anymore. For me, it makes no sense.
@EA_BlueberryMaybe the developer can do something with this information.
EDIT:
I figured out that Madden automatically switched the priority from "Real Time" to "High". I had to change the priority back to "Real Time" several times while playing. Maybe that's why I suddenly have so many freezings.
