Team captains series 2 tokens lost when downgrading max out team captain

    Ok guys I’ve upgraded my team captain with a series 3 token instead the series 2 that I needed, so try this as “solution “. Let me know if it’s worked for you. Cheers!

Same thing happened to me. Was told to put it on here and a community manager would respond. Asked to speak with a supervisor, and they told me to pound sand. This is rediculous!

    I had the same issue.  I decided to change my team captain.  I downgraded, when I got my tokens back, I only got 1 of 3 series 3 captain tokens.  I think when I upgraded my original, I used two of the series 3 tokens in the 5th and 6th tier.  When I down graded, the tokens were returned as series 2 and not series 3.  I fairly certain because in the store the series 2 and series 3 captain tokens packs are no longer there.  I pretty sure I purchased at least 3 series 2 and 3 series 3 tokens. Contacted support and got no answer.  Was told that the server issues those tokens and support is not able to determine which tokens I put into the upgrade.  Doubt that support will fix my issue.

      @SteelHammer59 that sounds very annoying. ☹️ is it possible to substitute these items by series 4 (as @Tatalus proposes)? unfortunately, it is a loss of coins but at least you could upgrade your team captain again (since you only need one of the 3 items offered in the store)...

      anyways, I do not understand why the store does not offer an unlimited amount of these items (maybe with the warning on the screen: 'you only need 3 of these items, but if you lost them, you can buy them again.' without the warning one might assume you could make use of them more often). the items are sold at the store for 15k coins but do have a quicksell value of 1k only. it would at least allow to correct an unintentional mistake by making an additional payment....

        @Neo_Novalis I will say that this is partially my fault for not realizing that I hadn't purchased enough series 1 captain tokens and used the series 2 and series 3 tokens, but the program shouldn't allow you to put an series 3 captain token into a series 2 slot. To me that is a programming problem. If I put in a series 3 token, I should get them back. After posting my comment I downgraded my player and my binder had the following tokens:

        3 - Series 1 tokens
        4 - Series 2 tokens
        1 - Series 3 tokens

        In my store, I show that I can only buy series 4 tokens. Which would seem to indicate that I had purchased 3 Series 1, 3 Series 2, and 3 Series 3. I'm not sure what has happened to my tokens. I should have at least a total of nine in my binder plus a few extra from completing challenges. I don't think I quick sold any of them.

        I think when I put my series 3 tokens into the series 2 slots and then when I downgraded, they converted.

        I holding out for a while hopeful that maybe I can get this resolved before using any series 4 tokens. Right now I need 2 series 3 tokens to upgrade the captain to tier 9.
