Terrible Experience with Madden 20 on PC

I recently purchased Origin Premier Access so that I could play lots of EA games on my PC.  I've been PC gaming for 20+ years and this is by far the worst PC gaming experience I have ever had.  I am not a technology * either, I'm the director of technology for a county and I know my way around hardware and software.  

First off, the Xbox One Wireless Controller working with bluetooth and this game is a complete joke.  The controller is laggy, disconnects all the time.  Even after firmware update, I think it made it worse.

The game has so many problems its utterly pathetic.  Timeout bug, general game lag and stuttering.  Its a joke.  I have a Samsun 970 Pro M.2 under this game and its still very problematic.  Guess EA got my 100$ for premier access.  Maybe there are other games that will make it worth it but I am extremely annoyed that the controller works like trash with this game, but seems to be fine for everything else.

Perhaps there is some kind of tuning guide?  I'm really reaching for why I would ever keep Origin Access Premier if this is the type of experience I am going to have.

    @Vytasa I'm not seeing what type of video card you have in your DxDiag. What brand/model is it and what is the driver version?

    Do you have any Windows updates pending?

    Have you tried anything specific from your end to make the game run better, like right-clicking on the game in Origin and selecting repair or reinstalling? I want to make sure we cover all the basic steps first before diving into anything more technical.

    Updated my Xbox One Wireless Controller firmware

    No Pending Windows Updates.  Windows 10 Pro - Version 1909

    I play Apex Legends without a single problem.  I play Anthem with Zero problems.  This Madden 2020 on PC is just straight really really bad.  I've played Madden games since they first came out in the 90's and I'm actually quite shocked that EA has this big of a problem developing a game for PC now that Xbox and PS are using x86 architecture... Crazy unreal.

    @Vytasa 

    Have you gone to the GeForce Control Panel and optimized the game? That helped the latest player in our megathread on stuttering reports.

    @EA_Blueberry I usually do not use that function as I usually tend to prefer best performance instead of maximum beauty. I will give that a try if I decide to reinstall the game.

    @EA_BlueberryI reinstalled, optimized using GeForce Experience. Game is still unplayable. It doesn't deal with the controls consistently the same. Every other time I start the game, no play art, no huddle on offense every single play. Its the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. How hard is it to have a game work with a controller. Seriously removing the game and I MIGHT try madden 19 to see if its any better.
