there was an error retrieving your currency balances

last week I earned the 150,000 category in solo battles but was not given the rewards, today I literally just earned the 95 ovr playoff player but am unsure if I was given the item because now every time I try to select MUT my screen tells me "there was an error retrieving your currency balances". 

I would like to get into my MUT, be able to access my rewards from last week and be given the 95 over playoff player if I haven't already.

I have had my rewards from solo battles just disappear many times before but didn't really care because  I could still play, but if its possible to get the one is wasn't given somehow that'd be great.

    *UPDATE*

    Team is currently looking into it and has been able to verify what you are experiencing. We'll update you all again when we can confirm a fix as been implemented. 

    Temporarily solving post for visibility reasons. Post and solution will receive updated information as we receive it.

    @declanmg since when do you get this error message?

    I'm asking because I got the correct rewards for last week's Solo Battles about 2 hours ago and was kicked out of MUT when I tried to start a Solo Battle game afterwards. after that I got an error message for about an hour (or more) that 'the servers cannot process my request at this time', but I saw my coins, training points and MUT level. I'm convinced that this happened due to the roll-out of make-rights for last week's Solo Battles which overloaded the servers.

    maybe your issue is related to mine?

    I cannot load into ultimate team and I continue to keep getting this error code. anyone know how to fix it?

    @andersonz4perez I’m having the same problem right now. It will load into my account but very very slow. I did a hard reset and reset my internet too. I think EA does this to make us buy the newer madden

    @junyi1994 so it looks like I'm not the only one, Yesterday I was starting up madden and it kept telling me that there was an error retrieving my currency balances. Then when attempting to play missions it tells me that EA servers cannot proceed my request and try again later. I thought it was a glitch so I tried to find videos on it and soon I became stuck figuring out how to fix this by myself. Today is the same and I was looking here to see people with the same problem.

    @RCDINC Yeah I made a group post on Xbox one and Twitter. A couple of people are having this issues. I wonder if it’s because people bought coins or just an error that EA is making us buy the new madden. I’m having this error on madden 21

    I am also encountering this issue as well (PS5/PS4) versions both not working, I’ve reinstalled multiple times and hard reset my console nothing has seemed to work. Continue getting the “error-unable to retrieve currency balances” every time. Been in contact with support and they claimed nothing was wrong and couldn’t help fix it but it’s obviously a bug in game.
