Unable to load up Madden on EA Play First Play Trial - Stuck on loading screen

Every time I load up madden 21 ea access, The loading bar to get into the game freezes and my screen darkens. I tried redownloading the game still won’t work I have wasted 30 minutes of the ten hours...

    The full game is now LIVE on EA Play! If you do not see it available to download, please try power cycling your console and re-open the EA Play App to see it listed under The Vault.

my screens not going dark but the loading bar freezes on the start up and wont progress further i've tried everything but i can't get past it. I would be grateful for any help, thx

Hi folks,

Which platform are you playing on? Is it always getting stuck at the same spot, or does it seem like it's just random?

    I have the same problem, my game usually stops loading at the "reviewing the game plan" part of the loading bar. I am on Xbox one x

    PS4. Start the trial, then stare at this loading screen. Lost 45 minutes of my ten hours so far

      I don't know if this will help anyone, but to get my game working again, I did a reset on my Xbox and kept my games on and I booted madden 21 back up and it was fixed. I was able to get back into my franchise just like that, even though I lost about an hour and thirty minutes trying to solve the problem.

      Mines get to main menu but lost 45 minutes also!

    @EA_Kent I am playing on PC. I managed to go in once and play through face of the franchise mode for a bit. Now it won't go past the "Press button to start" screen. It just gets stuck forever.

      Thanks for the updates!

      When you've got a chance can you try running through some troubleshooting to see if that helps at all? I'd recommend starting off with the basic connection steps from over at the EA Help website. Those can take care of a lot of the most common issues we see, but if you're still having some trouble afterward check out the platform-specific steps as well: 

      - PlayStation 4

      - Xbox One

      - PC

      Let me know how that goes when you've had the chance to give it a shot. Thanks again.

        Kent my man, no good. I constantly get stuck on the "Showtime!" portion of the loading bar. Am now 3 hours into my 10 hour free trial and haven't made it past the loading screen.

    @EA_Kent Mine constantly gets stuck on breaking the huddle. On ps4

    @EA_Kent I’ve tried on both Xbox one and PlayStation 4. Same thing the bar stops about 90% of the way and stays there. The background video and music still plays but the game won’t start.

      Thanks for the information. Are you all playing through the EA Play trial, or are any of you seeing the same issue with the full game as well?

        Still on trial i will NOT purchase game if this isn't fixed for trial users as well

    • Are you stuck at the loading screen or unable to select any game modes at the menu - Am stuck on the menu and unable to access any game modes

    My loading screen is fine but it says I have an inactive account even though I got it from ea play then it says the servers aren't available yet I can play fifa or last years online. Plz help
