i’m having the same issue, i’m on ps4. Does anyone know a possible fix? i’m worried it’s gonna continue to do this for the games launch and i’ve yet to get a fix from EA after contacting them twice.
Hey @ruger76.
Do you have Madden installed on an external drive, or is it using the hard drive that was included in your PS4?

@EA_Kent;
For me, same problem on my PS4 (Trial), directly installed on internal drive.
I delete game, all data files (profile, save, and so on), download again the game : same problem.
FYI : EA Play application and Madden 20 (bought on Bluray) work fine, account is good.
Tested on my Internet connexion and mobile connexion : same problem, since patch installed oct, 5 for me (but I didn't play between 1-5 oct) - 5 years ago
Mine is on an external but it occasionally goes past the loading screen just to not allow me into any game mode on the home screen.

Hey everyone,
It's been a couple days since I've seen any new posts come through on this thread. Are you still getting stuck at the same spot? If so, can you try starting up Madden NFL 21 with a different PSN ID on the same console, if possible?
Let me know if you're also running into the same issue with a different account, or if that one is able to start up the game.
Thanks!

- 5 years ago@EA_Kent I don't have another account on my xbox to try it on unfortunately. I have tried re installing the game both from the EA play app and from the Microsoft store and i get the same result everytime. I've been trying for a week not to play this game and have wasted hours of my trial trying to get it to work

Can you uninstall the game on your external, unplug it, and then check the internal to see if you have any save files there. Try installing the game and EA Play app on your internal drive and then attempt to launch the game.
Please let me know if this helps.- 5 years ago

Mine is internal and doesn't work. Exact same issues mentioned in the posts in this thread. Loads to "Showtime" and stays there. Twice I've randomly gotten to the main menu only to not be able to launch any game mode. 4 hours of the trial done already. Not a chance I spend a penny on this game!

I'm really tired of trying to play Madden 21 PC and it freezes after I pick my matchup on exhibition play. I'm about ready to request a refund. This game has given me nothing but problems since I purchased it. I called tech support and started a ticket. A tech specialist walked me thru some steps that were supposed to fix it. It didn't. I know I have more than enough requirements to run the game. I've played the game maybe 4 times since getting it in Sept.

I've seen some strange technical issues in the past where files for a game can be loaded up on both the internal and external by accident, so when it tries to pull data it either results in crashes or errors.
My advice is to uninstall it from the external and then detach the external. Check to see if there are any files on the internal to uninstall. I do not recommend moving the files from external to internal, that doesn't seem to fix the technical errors I've troubleshooted with players in the past.
I can't guarantee it's going to resolve it for you, but if you're up to troubleshoot this and confirm for us whether it does or not that can at least save others the attempt.- 5 years ago
I just tried running the Madden 21 Trial on PC. I am using the Origin app, I have the EA Play Subscription and I also have no issues running Madden 20. I get two errors at the loading screen. The first is the "unable to connect to EA servers" error and the second is the "you are blocked from accessing onine features" error. I have to Alt-Tab out to Task Manager and manually close the Madden process in order to exit the game, since it won't load to the Main Menu. Also, despite never getting to the Main Menu, it is telling me while the game is loading that I only have 9 hours of gameplay left. I guess it is counting the times I've been stuck at the loading screen as "game time" lol. It would be great if this issue could get fixed and if I could get back to 10 hours of game time since I've yet to even browse the Main Menu for a single minute.
